this had it's first proper outing earlier this week. Still running it rich but got up to 63mph on GPS. 60KG bike with 95KG rider including kit and backpack full of tools and locks.

From memory the "widow maker" moniker was attached to the 750 H2 Kawasaki, because of its performance having far more capability than it's chassis. I've never owned one, but guys that have say that the GT750 is more of a grand tourer than an out and out wheelie machine like the Kawas were. As a teenager, I recall a guy at the local pub doing a run past it on his H2 one evening at 120mph. he said he struggled to make the slight curve and never repeated the stunt.
I thought this applied to all the kwacka 2 stroke triples due to them seizing up frequently at inopportune moments.
