A merry group of us are headed from Wiltshire to North Somerset/Devon for a weekend of riding. I’m interested in a cake/coffee stop on the outskirts of Taunton, does anyone have a recent good experience that might accommodate 8/10 bikes ?
Have added 6 for Norfolk. The Holkham Hall café is in the courtyard and you can park nearer the lake where the disabled parking is. Their main surface car park is soft, so you get directed to a hard standing area. It's also free for bikes(as in I never get asked to pay). Just mind the deer! Two for Suffolk. 2 Magpies, Southwold high street. Munchies. Aldeburgh high street. Both excellent for food and easy parking for bikes. Always a gap to squeeze in!
I rode to the newly located Man Cave Cars & Classics showroom today & they have a good amount of vintage Italian bikes including a 1983 Mike Hailwood Ducati. Well worth a visit! They are looking into a better coffee machine but got a free cup of instant. Situated near Arundel, West Sussex. Dover Farm Dover Lane, Poling, Arundel, BN18 9PX
Oh dear Beans in a Ramakin, controversial, this could gain a lot of heat. However at least it hasn't any greenery on it
Is this a euphemism? I'm not au fait with some modern terminology and don't want a slap from a waiter/waitress should I request beans on my meat. I prefer to place my beans close to me plated Pork Sausage and much prefer the option provided by beans in a Ramakin. I hate beans anywhere near the eggs though as I don't want my runny egg mixing with and into it.
I make my own Mediterranean style baked beans from scratch with butter beans, stock, passata, garlic, herbs, spices and chorizo. When done I turn off the heat and crack an egg on top and let it poach in the steam with the lid on. You get a perfect runny yolk every time. Had it for breakfast this morning. Actually cooking the egg in the beans would mess with your head but I assure you it is delicious.
Looks great. Another good one in West Sussex is this one..... https://slindonforge.co.uk/ I haven't tried their breakfast, yet, but the food does look very good.

Reminds me of my best mate and me on a Euro tour back in 2010. We stopped at a hotel on first night in the Champagne region, a rural place, quite small. The demure young waitress at breakfast asked us if we needed anything else. My mate, in his best Franglais, said "Avez-vous de la préservatif, s'il vous plaît?"... thinking preserve > jam... Waitress went a funny shade of red and disappeared to find Mme. Job the proprietor. How we all laughed when we worked out what the error was. We used that place every year until it closed when Mme. & M. Job (who was the chef and definitely not front of house) retired and the place closed. One year, when we were a party of 6 she greeted us in her gravel car park and started smashing up terracotta roofing tiles for us to use as side stand pucks. After the first couple of visits she always had the appropriate number of beers lined up on the bar. Miss that place
I was the only Englishmen at a large French family lunch outside Paris and was asked “Vous etes termine?”, to which I replied “Merci, je suis plein”, hoping to convey I was full. They all laughed for a very long time until someone asked me in perfect english, “Who is the other parent?”. Yeah, never said that again
