Don't know what it's like where you live but 24 hours after a clean and valet the car is as filthy as when I started just due to airborne dust, dirt and shit thrown up from the millions of cars that traverse our local roads. Just dealing with a large bird dropping would be a joy.
Did approximately 15 miles today...I stand by what I've (supposedly) learned in the past...12 miles is my happy comfortable limit....bloody feet are killing me.
Brightened up a bit so now they have both been polished. And touched in the emulsion in the kitchen where the new radiator was fitted (always replace the old radiator with a bigger one is the take from that) so I'm putting my feet up until I go & get the fish & chips.
Well, you clearly have a clean environment where you live. Unless I garage my vehicle within 15 minutes of washing it I have no chance of polishing it because it would need washing again 5 hours later.
Oh the joys of living in what was once a beautiful South Coast village that is now the equivalent of an industrial heartland without the industry. Population of my village has gone from 5000 to over 20000 in 30 years and yet the infrastructure stays the same.
Funny you say that, as my car had several bird shits on when I came out of the gym, so I took it to the jet wash. It now looks worse, as the cheap fuckers don't have water filters, so it's absolutely covered in water marks.
I make a reasonable amount of effort to find a good walking staff each first day of a multi-day hike. This one was a particularly nice find and has been named 'The Staff of Osuvox' (it is a Level 99 magic artifact)
Very little. 1 pair of sox 1 merino wool t-shirt (wicking) 1 pair of undies (These three that are worn are washed in the shower after the day's hike..and the fresh set used while 2nd set dries during night and following day) Down hiking jacket 2L water reservoir Seating foam pad (a great thing to carry for the rocky mountain areas) First aid kit Flip-flops Woolen hat and liner gloves Sun cap Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste Lunch: baguette, cheese, salami, apples, eggs, chocolate. It is really the absolute minimum I think you can get away with for a multi-day trip where accommodation is sorted. I've done the GR20 on Corsica a couple of times, once with a 12-13kg rucksack, I don't think I would be able to do that again now.
We went to the garden centre for a few plants for the pots in the back.....................£172.49 later ffs
Decided to return to the Red Bikes and bought myself a nice 2017 1200 DVT Multistrada Enduro. 11000 miles and new belt's 100 miles / 2 years ago.
