Fuel Tank Loose

  1. I removed my fuel tank on my 2019 Scrambler 1100 and noticed that the fuel tank does not completely tighten down, is this normal? The tank has one bolt in the middle under the seat, and then one on each side in the front. The bracket on the front right side is thinner than the bracket on the left side, so it doesnt tighten down as much on the right side and has some give when I wiggle the tank. I know a tank is supposed to have some give because it feels a bit more than normal. I don't want to find out at 100mph that it's not supposed to be this loose.

  2. I don’t know about the scrambler tank fitting but should it have a rubber bung? of which the a bolt goes through.

  3. You could take a look at the spare parts list for that model, and compare the parts you've got with the parts you are supposed to have.

  4. It does have a bung but for some reason it doesnt look compressed. Can’t think of any way it could be resolved or if it was just meant to be this way. The smaller ring that the bung doesnt fill is the right side.

  5. I took a look and for the life of me can’t see anything missing

  6. Heres a video of the tank

  7. I see what you mean one side looks shorter then the other, would be good to see if anyone would know there all like that and is your tank a bit to lose as in the video,

  8. Thanks for the schematic. Yeah will be good to know if anybody else is experiencing it. I took it for a ride up to 100mph and no issue at all, completely stable. I'm not too worried about it but it'll bother me until I know 100% hahah..

  9. Probably made that way.
