Got my new insurance renewal details through for the 899. £250 fully comp! There is a benefit to getting older after all.
Got down the beach at 6am for low tide with Lady Nasher and Toby Dog for a walk on the sand bar. Beautiful and sunny but a little cold. Warmed up with a coffee from the Jetboil sat on the tailgate of the car. Saturday mornings don't get much better than that.
I love that you have given me your packing list and washing and drying routine as that’s exactly the sort of thing my OCD brain would make me do too
Well I was gonna do some potting/re-potting in the garden but its started to rain so I've come back in and decided to get rid of the "South American/Bolivian bots" that have applied to join our band of merry men. At midday we've got to take our American Bulldog to the vets for her monthly (expensive) allergy injection. Tonight we are off to a party
If every applicant had to pay £1 upfront, it might discourage bots while not being too much for genuines.
Visited a famous cave on the way back home: 'Cave Chauvet' it has the oldest known cave paintings in the world.. 32000 years old. Bloody interesting stuff.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/qaBr5B9dVQxhGamf7?g_st=a Went to what I thought was a sea-life centre not very far away in Santander. It was wasn't just fish but Spain's seafaring past. You get a very different story from what you get in Plymouth! I need to read up on things. Why does all of South America speak Spanish if the British had such an edge maritime wise? The British certainly had the advantage in slavery . Bristol being the go to if you wanted a bit of slavery. Had a good lunch with a smidgen of San Miguel, so now done for the day .
Made a rope&pulley system for round hanging tray so drink never too far away! Room for assortment of nibbles as well
Went to Ducati Bournemouths spring open day, saw some old biking mates there I’ve not seen for a while, listened to Shane Byrne natter about his career for a while, rummaged through the official clothing as it was all discounted but nothing floated my boat and came home. Spent the afternoon in the garden pulling stuff up that had no business being there. Off out for dinner tonight with the folks.
Cycled 30 miles to get a brake line lock-off tool and similar things ready for my attack on two car calipers. Now relaxing with 4 shots Jim Beam Cherry liqueur/4 shots Stones/8 shots Coca Cola (original), but that's gone now, so same again - repeat ad naus.. sleep.
Now get rid of the steel containers attached to various parts of the bike, they quite simply ruin it.........
