Bologna

  1. I'm changing the title because I am bored of VPNs. Nothing will happen until I am back in England but I will use one. I just don't know which one.

I will definitely go to Bologna next year. No reason not to and plenty of reasons to go there. I will fly to Bologna, possibly with KLM. There's a Lambo museum, as well as the Ducati one there.

My solicitor has replied to my moaning and I have already made ten grand, apparently. I guess that I will start paying tax this tax year.

My mind is going blank. Nothing to moan about, Nothing to worry about.

I was going to try a little flight from the airport in Santander, but if I want to go somewhere and back in a day, then it means an early start. Not really wot I do. I'll try to remember my small rucksack next time and do a stopover - maybe Madrid next time.

The hotel WiFi is shit, I reckon,, unless it's this sight. Something's going very sllloooowww

  2. Teach them how to knock up a decent spag bol while you’re there.
    Absolute heathens.

  3. If somebody, anybody, makes the grub for me, I'm a happy soul. Never had bad food in Italy.

I wonder if the rules on owning property are harsh on the English, as they are in Spain. Research to do,

  5. Lamborghini museum at Sant'Agata Bolognese, and Ferrari museum at Maranello are both fairly close to Bologna.

  6. I will try to do Ferrari as well. Rude not to. The rules for owning property in Italy AND England look fine but I vowed not to buy a second property anywhere. I don't want to tie up funds and would rather just roam about with a base in the UK. It's just easier.
Some may say I've got here the hard way as could of taken a plane instead of taking a day by train and boat, I could of done it in a few hours instead of a day, but I'm happy. I'm not in any rush. I'm only thinking of flying to Italy, because I don't know of any ferry type of ferry service between the UK and Italy. And even if there was, I would still have to get to Bologna.

  7. Have you thought about a cruise?

  8. Pretty sure it's the case that if your money is invested you only pay tax when you realise the gain, i.e. cash it in. But if it's in an interest bearing account then you have to pay money on the interest annually.

  9. Two ferrari museum's, maranello and modena, both well worth visiting, if you get the train from bologna to Modena the museum is within walking distance, this museum is more historic but really worth visiting, you can buy your entry ticket here and also one for the maranello museum, the staff at modena are happy to order a taxi for this trip and altogether its a great day out.

  10. Some of the very best food I ever had in Bologna, certainly found the best ice cream parlour in my life… hard to admit being half French

  12. And I get the impression that we really fecked off the Spanish with that stupid decision. When I left Spain, you have to go through passport control and baggage checks, even for a ferry, I was last with a New Zealand guy. He just got a friendly wave through whilst my bag was put through a scanner and my face was photographed once they saw a British passport.

Remember when we were in the EU and a UK citizen would face less hassle than a New Zealander?

That bastid Garage coned the UK public and clean got away with it. The question whose answer alludes me, is why does everyone go far right wing, believing that they will be better off? Take the NHS, for example. So, getting rid of free at the point of treatment healthcare, raises medical care standards, whilst saving the country a fortune, does it?

It couldn't possibly be about very rich people not wanting to pay their fair share in tax.

  13. The (current) plan is to KLM from Bristol via Schiphol to Bologna. I was going to do a practice run this September just for fun, but I will hold off until the jet fuel situation is clearer. This is all just for fun, so Mr Uncertainty is not invited.

  14. A mate came round today and demonstrated my idiocy in not being able to get the replacement passenger seat pillion cowling back on. It's been off for six months. It was because Mr Idiot, here, had not put the rider seat back on properly. I've got a MoT booked tomorrow.

He thinks I am an idiot for two reasons (three if you count not being able to replace the pillion seat cowl).

One: getting a Royal Enfield when I have an immaculate KTM that suits all of my needs.

Two: My crazy idea of getting to Bologna via Schiphol. For Fecks sake! Just get the train to Reading and the airport bus to Heathrow, so it is then a direct flight to Bologna, imbecile! And it will be miles cheaper!

I will see how the World goes, before booking anything. I will try it via Heathrow I think.

  15. I am in the UK today and Spain on my tablet:
