  6. Drop and pick up at the Waiting Zone near the car rental area, 1 hour free parking and a bus shuttle service to the terminal :bucktooth: that goes with a lot of airports, the area may differ but the principle applies.

  7. My mate went to pick his wife up at Bristol. Stayed outside the drop off zone and waited for his mrs to ring to say they’d landed, so in he went, cost him £60 in parking fees
His wife uses a walking aid, which was damaged by baggage handlers, which end unknown, so she was trying to sort out a claim complaint which took around an hour. Absolute robbery.

  9. Pass on to your mate that there's free (1 hr) parking in the Silver Zone parking area for those waiting to pick up. Less than 5 mins from the £8 for 10 mins drop-off/pick-up area...
Edit: Just been there today and it's £8.50 :poop:

  10. Waiting for FedEx to deliver the oil I ordered for the Multi, has to be signed for apparently... They said they would deliver it yesterday morning, then changed that to yesterday afternoon (after 1pm) before giving up late last night and saying today at some time before 6pm

To cap it all the starter solenoid I bought off of eBay is also coming via FedEx, apparently before 12:40 today, which has now passed. Both items, according to the very inadequate tracking, coming from different depots by the looks of things...

In future I'll be asking suppliers if they will be delivering using FedEx and going elsewhere if that's the case.

  11. Just freed off every single rusty component on two car calipers and now excitedly over the moon at the thought of driving a certain car again. The next task is to stop getting too fussy on overhaul/re-assembly.

  12. Happy to hear this, however I never did enjoy the Allegro courtesy car I drove way back when.

I guess your expectations are much lower than mine.;)

  14. Did some tidying up on the Tiger getting it ready to sell, looks like it's going on eBay as it's a cat-N bike, rides great and has been through an inspection at Triumph and a MOT... If anyone wants a 2022 Tiger 1200 GT Explorer for a bargain price.

  16. Surely although you enjoy the journey the destination is sweeter?

And it'll be a good milestone to get to.

  18. Odd - FedEx in Brizzle are in my top 2 couriers. At least they didn't use EVRI:poop:

  19. I was wrestling with buying two from Italy because they are so unobtainium now - would have been £600 plus - and no guarantee that they would be better than mine!

  20. I think it's very area related. The delivering FedEx depot is about 40 miles away, guess that explains the issue; I must be on the edge of their patch so last on the list a likely to tip over into the next day if they're busy.

Conversely, Evri are pretty solid around here. Know the delivery driver by name and he even stopped and helped out when I was recovering an elderly relative who'd had a fall in the street (I'm her ICE and got a call from a passer by). Jamie happened to be passing and stopped. Nice chap.
