Over the last few days I got the Monster through its Spanish MoT. No problems, result. The weather in Spain has been shite. Glum mixed with rain mixed with more glum. So it was the perfect time to strip the Akrapovic system off the Pikes Peak and put it back to stock. It has to be stock for the Spanish MoT. Nearly got it finished but it’ll have to wait a couple of days as we’re now in Cordoba at The Festival of the Patios. When we got here we found 1 hour queues, in order to get in and see the courtyard gardens. Now, I’m happy to go along and see these things but queuing for an hour to see a courtyard, is a total no-no. Call me a Philip Istien. So we went to a Tapas bar and had a glass of wine and watched the world go by. Later after a small but enjoyable Tapas bar crawl we went back to some of the festival courtyards gardens and walked straight in. Very nice they were too. Tomorrow we visit the Mezquita and a few more Patios, depending on the queues, then back to the ranch. Nice place Cordoba, highly recommend it. I did have a fully caffeinated coffee today. Result is it’s now 1.35am and I’m a fully paid up member of the Wide Awake Club. Bugger!
Sunday funday, up to the Wits end café at sandsend near Whitby for dinner and over the moors to Easingwold, Fika lounge for coffee and cake and home again. About 220 miles, fuel gauge said I ran dry somewhere in the moors, might need a new sender as the bike should have around 10 litres left (50mpg/30L).
Making good headway with the mesh fence foundation (stop the wild boar pushing/digging through). It's bloody physical, definitely can't do consecutive days.
Yep. It’s been like that for a while for me when using my phone. It often won’t refresh so I have to close the tab and then reopen it. Uploads of photos taken with the camera are also problematic as they always get rejected for the file size being too large and so I have to do a ball ache workaround by screenshotting the photo (which seems to result in a smaller file). You Tube embedding is also hit and miss with about half being rejected and shorts not embedding at all.
Being a bit of a gardener myself, my first thought was the cool long watering wand I'd need to make to water them. But then I'm wondering how they are watered without leaving dirty streaks down the nice White wall they are on.
Tried to give blood for the first time in my life, but was denied as I'd had a minor stroke a couple of years ago. Ah well, I tried.
If you are planning to make any more, Mrs GG has offered her services in removing the ice cream from the Magnum sticks…
The answer is I don’t know. There were definitely some water feeds that came through the walls so you really had to search that see them at the back. How they avoid water marks down the walls is beyond me. Especially as the courtyards were open until 10 or 11.00pm. So when do they do the watering and how do they avoid the marks? I can tell you there wasn’t one water mark on any of the patio walls. For some reason all of the pots were blue. Every single one. Why I don’t know but it looked nice. Interesting how many hairy arsed bikers have ‘liked’ the post about this. Good for you guys. My Mrs is the gardener but I can appreciate good gardens when I see them. I do the lawn and that’s it.
Walking up the driveway won't help the guy get the step problem resolved, and the van back level on the road. The delivery might be 20 cases of wine up a very long and obviously steep drive. Drivers get 2 mins per stop, so that is not going to happen.
Had the wood repaired on this today which needed 8 x 12 ft lengths replaced . Oak would have been best part of £200 a length and taken months to be delivered. Mr chippy sourced me hard wood that wasn’t oak at £17.50 a length. Pinned it alongside the rotten oak so no one can say we replaced it and so the plasterer can get on with his work and jobs a good un. Pays to know the locals in your pub part 2684
