“Beating the Big C took longer than expected, so as a reward I treated myself to a lush 748B”. I think those are the most inspirational words I have read this year. I traverse Surrey if you want to meet and talk bollox
well that’s kind of you. I’m the ultimate optimist I’m told, and a believer in positivity which has helped me get back on my other bike, an RnineT I customised, which is easier to ride than the sports of course. It’s been fun learning things again, like gripping the tank when on the 748, man my thighs hurt for days after . I must update my location as I’ve been back in Cornwall a 3-years now. Thanks for the ride out invite though. Much appreciated. Anyhow, I’ve not given up yet with the 748, so let’s see what tomorrow brings.
She is home, fully redressed with a brand new tank and every other bit of paint is new thanks to Mike at Triple C paint in Wokingham, Rich did the mechanicals and Mav did the chassis refurb and refresh, now need a chance to ride her ...
I see you have Variobars or similar fitted, dont they make a huge difference...i just fitted a pair to mine and theyre far better suited to more comfortable riding at my advancing years....nice bike BTW.
Taken off the road initially to do the belts and then I got carried away. Two and a half years later on its way for a MOT.
After a year in residence at PGP Eastleigh, she emerged into the spring sunshine and fired up The 748R, Sigma 853 conversion, bought in this parish.
She has a daytime MOT, but real purpose is a parade at the CRMC Doni Festival August 1-2nd. There will of course be the obligatory road shake down for new engine components, brakes and suspension set-up.
