  1. This old cycle has been sitting around for years, i was gonna throw it away but i decided to spend £42.50 on two new tyres & innertubes, plus a spare, one puncture repair kit also a cheap cycle pump chucked into an old bumbag.
First cycle ride out since September down from Halfords at East Grinstead down the disused railway that R.Beeching scrapped to Hartfield.
Worth every penny for just one ride, flagging coming back up hill and a little saddle sore.

  2. Is that disused line part of the same one which got resurrected as the Bluebell Railway? I used to take my boys there all the time when they were children. I miss doing that.

  3. Booked a table for a bottomless brunch in Newcastle in a couple of weeks with some friends. Think we'll get the train there and back. :)

  5. Curious as to where? (For next time I'm back ;))

  6. Footie?

My Son (20) and I like a drink if we're in central London. It's the only time he's challenged for his age, out in the sticks noone asks him when he's out drinking.

  10. Slug and Lettuce on the Quayside................apparently it's good. I've never been but without having been I'd normally class it the same as a Spoons.

    Or am I being harsh?

  11. I vaguely remember the S&L being slightly more upmarket than a 'Spoons. ;)

  13. The nearest one to where I live attracts hen parties is very pink bright and noisy Needless to say I’ve never visited.

  14. I prefer the soup kitchen. You don't get stuck to the carpet.

  15. Are you sat in with the floodlights?

  16. That’s row 5 of the Upper Tier. It goes up to about 40 at the back.

Result was as expected, now consuming more anaesthetic.

Probably go back in 2 weeks for the Rugby League Challenge Cup.

  20. The Bluebell one's on the West side with train runs etc, there's no track on this route and perfect for walkers and cyclists.

Also just for the record, Beeching lived in East Grinstead.
