November 2025 was the last time I was in London. I agree the congestion was happening before the speed restrictions. But I think ots worse now and it is for longer periods of time, as the traffic takes 30% longer to get from A-B and that is 24/7.

it’s a good few years ago now but my 400SS failed an MOT because the exhaust was “louder than you would expect from a vehicle if fitted with the original exhaust”. In fairness, the 2 into 1 system was pretty much straight through and bordering on offensively loud. Fitting a dB killer actually improved the sound.
I have moved the bars forward a bit to see if they are more comfortable. I put some duct tape over the low fuel warning light, but it still kept telling me that it was low on the message on the clocks. Reset the trip meter. Any handlebar recommendations?
Can anyone explain the transition/development of the M900ie? My bike has the 916 style rear suspension and what I am told is an ST based frame? Previous years had the 888 based frame and suspension? Is my bike an odd year frame?
As I remember there were various models. 2001: 900ie/900ieS 2002: 900ie/ 900ie Dark There were several differences between these four different bikes all within a 2 year period, including Ohlins rear shock (S), aluminium s/arm, adjustable forks, different clocks, ECU, nose fairing, additional under bike mud flap... As the bikes are all quite old, there's been plenty of time for owners switch parts from one bike to another too. As for the frame change, I think -and don't quote me or bet the the farm- it was the 2002 bikes got the ST frame which makes the wheelbase slightly longer? I believe this is the same frame that was used on the S2 bikes.
Did some running around on the monster today. What an engine for bumbling along. Getting used to the handling. Still can’t get on with the bars.
With permission from a higher authority on Tuesday night I rode to Liverpool and got on a ferry to the island. Monstered around and came back. Can’t get on with the bars. Despite cleaning the relay contacts it still does the not start thing and also does the continuous starter motor thing too, which has to be the relay. Clocks fogged up completely. But what a bike, what an engine.
