So what to do that is the question thought it was mostly sorted out but the guy who wanted to buy my Triumph Trophy 900 has decided that perhaps it's too big, heavy and probably too fast for him. Now I have no idea as to what his experience level is so cannot really comment on that but he has once again hassled me to sell him my latest toy the 98 Honda VT600 that I bought in January and got registered on Feb 26th and after haggling a price was agreed for it. Now if the Triumph sold the plan was to replace it with another sorts tourer and was planning on looking at a ST2 and ST4 that are listed in the same town but now with it being the smaller, lighter and a lot lower Shadow going things change. The Shadow has a limited range due to the small 11 litre tank it's also SLOW it's idea for scooting around the local roads and lanes but is too slow to cope with major routes like Motorways and honestly struggles to reach 140kmh with me on it as let's face it I am not the lightest at 101kg it's great fun to ride locally but the lack of performance for a 585cc V twin is very disappointing to my mind a bike of this capacity should be capable of doing 100mph (162kmh) as heck a 1960's Triumph 500 would do that! Seeing as how the replacement bike will not be needed to any real distance rides have been looking through listings another cruiser/chopper style appeals sure but one with enough performance to make it usable on the motorway should the need arise limits choice and the prices are rising and for my sins I pulled up the Ducati listings again the ST2 is still offered and of course quite a few Monsters so do I consider replacing mu wrecked Monster with another? Have to admit that I did not gel with my 620ie's handling but have been wondering if something was not quite right with it as the guy I bought it from got it from an Insurance auction in the US so is it possible that the frame was out? Perhaps I need to ride and another to check this out? Plezier
