I stilll want to give it a try. I can think of no reason to, but that's just me. Berlin is a possibility or I might do something in Scotland.
I don’t. They are delivering it and collecting the ktm. It will be after I am back from Spain, so last week of June.
If you don’t mind me asking, why are you cashing in PBs to buy a relatively inexpensive bike when you have hundreds of thousands of squids in the bank?
I know - me is crazy. The money is in a trust fund, because the angry judge thought me crazy and this was the compromise that my barrister and solicitor suggested. My solicitor (who won me the money) is the trust fund approver, so I put in money requests and she has to approve them before I get paid. It's a compromise that I am happy with. She approved thousands for my two trips to Spain and about £77,000 to buy out my cousin from the family company. He lives in Florida and having non-UK shareholders in a small family company is a nightmare for my brother, who's the company secretary. I just wanted to make his life easier. Asking for the money to buy a motorbike l just couldn't face. She would contact my brother to get his view and then it would become a family debate on my sanity.. I just could not face it Maybe it is crazy . I don't know nor care. I just want a simple life. I think that it is the right bike for me. I just want to pootle about during nice days. It maybe Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, or South Wales. I don't know how I will get on. I haven't ridden the KTM much as I can't handle the height of the bike (although it is very light) and I have tried the BSA many times in Fowlers. It's really easy for me to mount and dismount. It's ordered and l can just put the balance due on a credit card that I can pay off right away. If I struggle with the BSA, I will struggle with anything. I will just have to call time on my motorcycle career. I'm not bitter as I was compensated enough to not have to worry about money. Next year, I hope to fly to Bologna from Heathrow and maybe Berlin from London City Airport. I am confident that if I ask for the money to do this then it will be forthcoming. Although having the injuries isn't nice, I have money and time to do things. It's a real possibility that I could either be dead, or have one leg. I'm neither (unless this is a ghost posting) so I feel lucky.
After Spain, I have a week in Worcester on the bank of the River Severn. After that, I will review my finances. I am unsure if selling the PBs was necessary. I might buy them back.
The view from the members lounge at the Crown Plaza Plymouth. Tomorrow I will leave for the ferry to Spain. No need to moan
Now just ask your solicitor for the money to buy the same amount of PBs you sold, which I'm sure she will approve, then you have got the money to buy the bike and kept the status quo with the amount of PBs you hold. Win, win.
How will you get on with your injured leg should you have to do an emergency stop or the road cambers to your weak side
On the KTM, badly to very badly. That's why it's going. On the BSA, fine. I can flat foot easily. It's very low. It's fast enough but not mentally fast. Less than 50 bhp power. It's fast enough for me, though. I think my original mistake was an obsession with weight, but not ease of mounting and dismounting, I've learnt the hard way that ease is very important. G
I'm going to Santander later, but this tablet is already in Valencia with Surfahark . When I was last there something didn't work and I can't remember what. Might of been NETFLIX or Amazon Prime wanting to only give movies, originally in English dubbed into Spanish. Oh yeah, it was the BBC not giving any BBC content in Spain as they sell stuff there with the promise not to compete.
Actually I emailed asking for £5000 just to play around with stocks and shares. She hasn’t replied but knows I am going to be in Spain for a while,. When I get back and need to chase this up, I’ll say that a thousand is to replace PBs that I sold. I know the chances of winning are about the same as being knocked off a motorcycle while riding home from work but these things do happen, I found out the hard way!
No WiFi that I can find but now waiting at the terminal. The taxi driver had an original Gold Star and loved it. i am so looking forward to Spain and then getting the Gold Starry!
Out somewhere in the Bay of Biscay and it's rough. Every few minutes there's a big CRASH! as we hit a wave head on. I cannot walk about as my balance is so poor. This wasn't a great idea, I paid for a nice time! I was talking to someone who comes into London City Airport a lot and then flies from there to Exeter Airport. That's given me an idea. I could do that in reverse and then on to Berlin. It's supposed to be Summer! Isn't that supposed to mean good weather and calm seas? This sea is very angry!
I think I have as well. This is much worse. To me it is but the ferry hasn't slowed down or diverted, so I guess nothing special. And there is a schedule to keep.
