  6. Great route you'll enjoy that!
If you find that Sirimone/Lake Garda is too rammed with tourists, I can recommend 'Borghetto sul Mincio' which is a few minutes ride South of there. Borghetto is a lovely old village surrounded by waterways and has a couple campsites.
It does get busy on weekends however!
Best of luck on your travels.

  8. Enjoy your trip . My wife and I are leaving on the 30th with our bikes in the back of a van. Should arrive in Riccione on the 2nd July

  9. Neil, from Strasbourg you are only a few miles from Baden Baden where I was a few weeks ago. If you get a chance you must try and do the B500 through the Black Forest. It's a proper must do ride but be very careful, the road can be treacherous.

  10. Was at Garda last week. Not too bad BUT the road around it is a pain in the ass, especially in the tunnels at the north and east.

    Bardolino is a nice spot.

  14. Absolutely horrible day weather wise, Grimsel and furka pass was fog/cloud bound, ended up with around 5 meters of visibility, following the white centre line and outer line, Got to Andermatt and decided no way am I camping here. It was hammering down with rain, so thought F@@KIT Italy isnt far, so did Gottard pass , which was better than Grimsel/furka, apart from the hail stones and sleat, temp at one point was -4degC stopped for a coffee at the cafe on the viewing point above Airolo, then pushed on, weather improved as I got closer to Milan, found a hotel near Bergamo for the night

  15. Did furka last week. Was dry and bright. I don’t fancy doing it in the conditions you faced.

Bergamo is beautiful. Try to have a look around Ago’s hometown, especially up the hill via the fenicular.

  16. I can recommend a great camping stove for hiking & motorcycling...the Jetboil Stash...titanium, super compact...super fast to boil water etc. Only downside is they are pricey. :upyeah:
