That's very kind and useful information Andy, thank you. Are you ex Police as I understand many of the observers are?
That may have been the case several years ago but the number of motorcycle traffic officers appears to be on a steep decline, certainly in the Thames Valley and North Hampshire, TVP have not supported the Bikesafe initiative for the last 3 years. I’m not ex police, I decided about 12 years ago, it was time I gave something back to the motorcycle community that had supported me for nearly 50 years and trained as a Local (affiliated club) Observer. I’ve been an IAM RS National Observer for nearly 2 years. Just for kicks, I’m also a Racesafe Track Marshall with the British Super Bikes Andy
Found a campsite right in the New Forest in amongst all the horses etc, it’s lovely. Now having a pint.
Have you ever been to Sammy Millers in New Milton. Not far away from where you are and well worth a visit on the basis that "you come this way but once". It's a truly remarkable museum and Sammy in his 90's still works more than 5 days a week,
I'm serious!! You have happened upon the New Forest in perfect weather and you should be feeling great.
Send me your bank details by PM and I will send over a couple of pints. I am enjoying myself through your enjoyment so want to do this.
I’ve already had 3 and I’m struggling to see to type, not because I’m drunk, I’m crying from the price of it .
Don’t be daft, but that is a very kind gesture so thank you. I liked the museum but it was a few years ago that I went there.
Been a couple of times, the Radio Shack was TBH the most interesting of anything we visited on the site.
I've waited in all day for a locksmith to come and get a snapped key out of the garage lock (which I unfortunately broke on the morning I was heading out to Germany 10 days ago)
