Iphones Are Rubbish

  1. Another thing iPhones are really good at (now) is changing ringtone. I used to do this back in the day - even make your own... ;)

iPhone brought that ability back in-phone. Cut a 30 second Youtube song and bang it on the phone !

Sash Encore Une Fois - and Classic Japanese (Sakura) music - went on there as ring tones recently before selling the phone. Great fun.

  2. I just bought another 500mb as I might (only might) want to take the piece of shit away from hotel WiFi. In the weird world of AppleDoom that deserves punishment. I realise that I am a slow walker, that in the world of AppleDoom deserves punishment,
DAtA will be eaten. The phone told me that double punishment arises from taking photos!
and data will be eat through as punishment. If I "get funny"

  3. See the second section of post #75 above (assuming you have an iPhone).

  4. Don’t forget he can’t find the volume up button :D

  6. Do I phone's not have the swipe the screen method of screenshots like Samsung

  7. i have a lot of music and now for no reason it separate albums in to 3 or 4 with 3 or 4 tracks in each, the work around is a massive faff

  8. I'll give it a go sometime. Thanks. Emailing to myself and then picking up that email and photo on this tablet seems good and all on hotel WiFi.

    CHANGE OF SUBJECT

errr, what was it? oh yes. ENGLISH!

Another mistake today of assuming English speakers (and that seems to be 90% of the people here) are English. I insulted a Scot yesterday and today a couple from Ireland.

Mr Sweeping Generalisation is coming to town.

  9. Just another iPhone experimento

  10. That worked. Taking WCP #75 advice above.

  11. That’s taking pictures resolved, but not the data chomping in Spain issue. I dunno. But I am a lazy decker. I will see how it is in England and then make a final decision on whether to bring it to Madrid.

Berkeley Castle is very photogenic and I spend a week in worse than Worcester soon. I’ll take pictures and see what happens.

  12. Madrido - my Spanish improves daily - is a certainty, but I'm looking to go September/October time, which is when things get busy, apparently. I'll look further when I return to the UK. I can always put it off to Springoh next year.

I'll do Spain again first and then Bologna. The BurlyInn trip, via London City Airport, Will come after Italy one (I would like to do more Italian trips in coming years)

The song remains the same, Led. The problem is money. I want to do stuff now. There's hundreds of thousands being held back for when (not if) I go crazy, need twenty-four hour care and live in some sort of luxury old people's home. Trouble is, that is not a me that I recognise, or want to be.

At least, I will do Spain 2 and Italy 1 without begging.

I am unsure whether to ask for a bigger sum, than I got this year just to force the conversation.

It's thunderstorms here now. Rain follows me about.

  13. I know, and I tried to highlight the #75 bit and make it a hyperlink which I thought I’d copied and pasted but that bloody tick and all the other things that pop up in iOS now when using web forms keep getting in the way and clearly I didn’t succeed. Bloody Apple. Bloody piece of shit. Oh, no. I’m turning into …….

    :joy::joy::joy:

  14. So, I have two numbers in one O2 contract. The other number, that is on a physical SIM has a 20 Gb data allowance whereas the iPhone has a data limit of 1 GB. I have no idea why, but that's what has royally shafted me, especially because the iPhone camera takes a higher resolution photograph, that as is, uses miles more data to send or backup to the iCloud.

When I get home, I will ask O2 WTF is going on. Both are on the same SIM only contract so should be exactly the same.

    • Managing Costs: If you have an unlimited/large data plan on one SIM and a capped plan on the other, make sure "Data Roaming" is switched off for the smaller data plan when you travel to avoid surprise overages
