That is a beautiful looking bike and what a shame the museum was closed; it would have been very very interesting.

I did what I thought would be an easy ramble, I really should check the elevation changes

At the O2 Academy in Islington for Limehouse Lizzy

 

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Stressful couple of days leading to departure for the European Multistrada Meeting in France. The tyre fitter delayed from last week to this Tuesday then massacred the valve. So the box which was meant to support the front forks for a few hours decided after 24hrs to give up.


It collapsed, depositing the contiboard spreader onto the floor and the front forks followed. Which meant the bike pitched forwards and rolled off its main stand. Miraculously between the paddock stand and the forks the bike remained vertical.


This is how I discovered it. Unbelievable!!! No damage whatsoever.

Jorg the laughing German came over but there was no way we were going to lift it. An hour or so later we’d constructed this and the electronic winch lifted it at the press of a button.



Basically I lost 2 days prepping for departure, so instead of being all nice and casual early on Thursday it got delayed until 10.15 which in turn meant we were still on the bikes in 38 degrees of afternoon heat.

Phew and phew.

 

Where from? You can get them easily with a short stem that goes into the wheel. Possibly on the interweb but I needed it there and then, so I could depart.

 

But do they have long stems on both ends?

I think I might have found one on the interweb, I’ll sort it when I get back but in the meantime the fitter put a straight valve…which seems too short to get an air line on.

Anyway, we’ve departed and it’s holding pressure and that will have to do until we get back.

Thanks, it’s a great bike which, unfortunately Ducati have stopped making. They obviously thought they needed yet another Panigale! (The V2 has replaced it)

Last night, went to see the Sumo wrestling at Greenwich town hall, Tokyo Nights.

Awful. Imagine Sumo wrestling done WWF style.
Very disrespectful to the culture.
Even the supposed to be traditional meal supplied was chicken nuggets.
