  2. Just over a hundred odd miles tonight on the V2 multi. Scorchio when I left , but quite breezy on the coast at Camber sands. Back home just after 9pm for a cuppa in the garden with the Mrs and it's still fairly light .

  3. Finally got round to fixing the seat lock pins on the 996. Used the jb plastic weld putty and a small dremel bit to sand back and then paint red. Not a perfect job I'll admit but works

  4. Going to try helmets on again...........LS2 looks to be the one this time round. If the size fits then I'll get us both one and get a new Cardo fitted too :)

  5. Another day another hundred odd miles.
I was going to go on my 900SL, but chose the V2 as it's just so easy and good at everything, now I feel guilty for leaving the old girl at home .

  6. Had the guilty pleasure of running my bike in third gear only along a deserted country road i know. 9-15 k revs and max throttle as long as bottle lasted.
I don't know how these things are legal.

  7. Put non leaky forks back on bike.

For years I have been effing about with ABBA stands and blocks of wood when removing forks and yoke..
I bought this cheapo jack stand off ebay the other day (30 quid) - absolute breeze to support the bike once the under fork stand is removed.
    Fantastic!

  9. So are you supporting the bike with this jack under the horizontal cylinder?

  10. Yep.
I know you’re going to tut at that but that’s what I always did with my blocks of wood.
