Calories Burnt On Motorcycle!

  1. Treated myself to a new Garmin Epix 2 watch after years with Forerunner 45 (discounted to £299 from £750 ). It has a motorcycle mode amongst the other lycra clad joyboy apps.
On a 80 odd mile ride around Essex to check out fishing lake it recons I've done 695 calories on 916 ! All you touring lot should be slimmer than super models, must be the booze and cafe stops doing the damage...and yes average speed seems to be pushbike levels.

  2. If you got a multistrada, you would forever be eating chips and pies.

  4. Think nearside mirror nearly falling off (twice) and stalling lots after stopping to check google maps may have pushed my heart rate up ! It always runs like a dream until I stop for courtesy break, seems to hate hot start in warm weather. But was fine at refuel stop:thinkingface:

  5. Not unless the cyclist is or was a Pro

  6. Those are rookie numbers. Riding off road genuinely burns those kind of calories.... per hour

  7. Agree, but I reckon I had to be a lot more active & physical on my old XR400 25yrs ago. I think the sheer ability of my Sherco and perhaps its lack of mass are both contributing. Haha - and I don't have to kickstart and swear at the Sherco to get it going :D

  8. Slightly off the subject but managed 10k steps going to the lakes in a Focus RS. Dear me the suspension was hard.

  9. Checking out part prices from Ducati. Thats a good way to loose calories. So I went to check out the over fuelling on my bike and decided I need to minimise on carbs.

  10. I spent quite a lot of time picking mine up off the ground or pushing it, which are kind of like deadlifts and bench presses respectively and you do spend a lot of time in a kind of quarter squat, like a jockey.
