  2. Sone carpentry this morning and gardening this afternoon. Now enjoying a beer in the garden and it's still 28C! (11.25 pm)

  3. What with the heat, it's time to give myself another haircut. I'm trying to get the webcam on the laptop enabled so I can see the back of my head. The rest is just about done, though it's a bit too straight above the ears. I bought proper hairdresser scissors this time, so I can really stab myself. It's really difficult doing the layering bit with the comb, behind your head! Particularly when every single time I go backward when I want to go forward and forward when I want to go back. You'd think there'd be an acceptable compromise there, wouldn't you?

    I'd become a hairdresser but I don't understand Polari.

  6. I confess I never did know which was which. The one you do multiple times a day, rather than just once, or the one you'd be marginally less sanguine about falling on you from a large height?

  8. I have had a very slow leak in a rear tyre on my car for about a week. No obvious damage, no nail/screw head poking out. I need to blat down the M4 this morning so bit the bullet and had the tyre looked at. 3” cut wire nail gone through the block tread at a very shallow angle. That was £90 I would have preferred not to shell out just yet. Took a look at the disc pads whilst the wheel was off and they’ll need replacing before Snetterton. Andy

  9. I couldn’t do that as I’d almost certainly try to sneak one of them out under my coat.

  11. Sadly, it was cancelled due to one of said pandas having a baby the night before. The day out was brilliant regardless and the event organiser rescheduled the feeding without fuss.

Certainly worth a visit if you're in the NL and have ~5 hours to spend.

I also snuck in a hot lap or two whilst the adults weren't looking

  13. That’s what I thought.

  14. Been cooking all day - a friend left her freezer door open and she'd just had an online delivery.. Kitchen looks like a bakery/pies and grub a-plenty for the next few weeks, and bound to add to the lardy lifejacket inevitably.

  15. Chicken pie mash and pea's :yum
