Flying around in a Spitfire sounds great! Tell me, is that you sunbathing on the Kwacker? I imagine its your brother lazing in the doorway (smoking?). But what is happening on the porch? Is that a big white poodle being fussed or what???
Not really much i can say apart from...yeah.....do that... Im 57 in a couple of weeks or so....ive absolutely not grown up - motorcycle choices reflect that.... 57 and still riding an SXV/Hyper1100/RSV4 etc etc. Even when i think "i really should sell the RSV i go in the garage, look at it and think...nah..fuck that..." i may sell it when i physically cant ride the thing anymore....
Sports bikes bar a v4 Tuono and a few 765RS street triples her. Lots of track action. All into my 60’s. I cannot get enough. Roadsters feel uncomfortable to me, too upright.
My z1000 is classed as a roadster....which im good with as it makes the insurance cheaper....keep on twisting the throttle sir... Got a set of race cams for the hyper that ive been meaning to fit....once i get Dyno money thatll be a reality..!
This is a difficult read Richard, you are a brave man to share it with us. I have not met many DF members, but I feel like I know some very well simply because of their personal honesty. I remember leaving that Ohlins spring in a random letter box for you once on a trading estate thinking this is weird, I wonder if I will ever meet this bloke. We finally met last September when I collected the bike cover. There is much to gain from sharing thoughts, experiences and feelings, thank you for yours, keep them coming and best wishes, Paul.
Hi Paul. Thanks for your kind words. It was tough to write and I’m going to keep all the crap with me, not put here. This is about quality, not quantity. PS still enjoying your track adventure pics etc.
Well I’m really sorry to read this Rich. What can I say. Tell you what, do everything you want to do. I only regret what I haven’t done. I’ll be back in a couple of days and I’d love to come and see you asap. Not because of the paddock stand but just to see you and chat bikes.
I intend to do anything and everything I can mate. Be good to catch up again. I’m 100% in the no regrets camp. I have been lucky enough to have had a brilliant life. A few tragedies but who hasn’t. And many, many, many more good things than bad. But always an eye on what’s next.
I was a pleasure to meet you and chat over a cuppa a couple of months ago. Best of luck with your review today, you'll be in my thoughts.
Consultant off sick. Registrar apparently was standing in but balked when he saw my file Today rescheduled for next week. Bit pissed off but these things happen and much power to the Registrar for realising he was going to be out of his depth. I would rather have things done once correctly than mess around. Positivity, see
I’m a great believer in positive thinking. Hey, at least they think you’ve got another week It takes a man to laugh in the face of adversity and laughing will do you good. See you soon.
