I went to on my local Ducati dealers in Hampshire Snells who were very helpful. He showed me a quick way of changing the modes ,I rode the bike back in Sport with two helmets and loved it, bearing in mind I was riding with no pillion . I was going to take my girlfriend on it ,but i thought I would ride the 14 miles in that mode , I was going to put in Touring had I took her on the back. There was no dive at the front, the bike felt planted and done everything I asked of it , it may have been slightly taller, but I should get my low seat soon and the Metezlers M9 RR Sportec will be on the bike next Wednesday . With all my kit I guess I weigh a shade over 12 stone . Am I doing something wrong or is because I am used to track bikes that it feels like that . Should I go back to one helmet in the setup ? Or do some ride it like this ? All help always appreciated, I have only had the bike a week and love it . Got around the reverse shift, so my gears are like my to other bikes ,the 2015 aftermarket lever fitted a treat and is a Ducabike shift rod non adjustable give a crisp and positive change .I bought it for a DVT,but it fitted this 1200 S a treat, tbh I love this 1200s 2010. Show a picture fitted tomorrow if anyone wants to do it , I think the brake leaver may fit too. Need a few minor adjustments, but nothing serious, just need access to my mate's workshop to modify the gear shift a little
Am I in the wrong section for my model? It has electrictonic Ohlins . If I am in the wrong section,i am sorry
I think using whichever preload suits you is fine. I found I preferred my original 1200s in rider plus luggage mode. The advantage of the electronic suspension is that it’s simple to change and adapt for changing loads and road conditions. I still tend to run my V4 in touring most of the time, slightly softer suspension and reduced power makes it an easy ride but in Sport it increases the power and throttle response and stiffens the suspension up.
I think i will try the luggage mode as it will between a pillion . I tried pushing it lent ,I know it's not my R1 but them tyres 2ct gave me no confidence at the front especially. I will have M9 RR Sportec on Wednesday and I will see then how it handles . Does anyone else run M9 RR Sportec Metezlers?
