Why: - less heat at low revs (rear cylinders deactivated) - Improved tank range, also from running on two cylinders (even at 6% more it all helps - it's piss poor) - improved runnning / engine electronics (supposedly '...smoother throttle response, smarter rider assistance, and improved low-speed refinement') - some of the plastics / fairing and footrests looks better designed (from a distance) Maybe (=probably wouldn't notice): - improved swingarm pivot Why not: - suspension lowering - I already have legs carefully designed to reach the ground - the forward collision detection - nah, I already find the existing adaptive cruise control mildy scary when it auto-brakes hard - rear brake putting the front bake (can be disabled IIRC) - sub-standard 2025 livery Not enough changes to rush out and buy a new one, obviously, but enough to think about it in say 2-3 years time when the prices have come down from f***ing astronomical to merely stratospheric. (And what might seal a new purchase - shaft drive. Honestly, a chain? Luddites.)
