So what have you done today..?

  1. I moved out of whats been the family home for 15 years.
The ex and the children and the dog go tomorrow to their new home.

I’m sofa surfing and have belongings strewn across Essex while I await completion on my new place.

Feel very odd. After being with someone for what has admittedly been a not so nice 25 years. Freedom.

Kids are 16 so hopefully contact will be regular and we can have fun away from the happiness sponge that is their mother.

  3. A new beginning for you, I’d have had to take the dog though.

  4. I’ve been getting swamped with thunder bugs. Cnuts!

  5. I hope it all goes well for you boss, and your new place & freedom is all you want it to be.

Remember hookers and cocaine do fix everything but better at their place, and always in a cab! LOL

    Carpe diem.

  6. Nut roast ride to what I think is a converted outside loo a stones throw from Donners.
Bike at 70mph was running a temp of 97 to 100C with ambient at 36C
4 hours of misery on A11/A14/M1:mad:
Hit the usual speed limit bingo too. 60:50:40 limits all over the route.

  11. Probably a little psychopathic, but I think love is (meant to be) two people deluding themselves biochemically in order to produce children, which lasts just long enough for the kids to be (in the wild, as it were) self-sufficient.

When I hear of people together for their entire adult lives I get a warm feeling; perhaps because they belie my pessimism. Or I've pissed myself laughing. One or the other.

  12. I feel for you. I don’t know if it will help at all, but in my experience it's good to consider "chapters of life" to try to accept that things don't have to be linear nor continuous, just experiences that flow over us...both "good" and otherwise. I'm sure you will find a new chapter that is more in tune with what you need. :upyeah:

  13. It happened to me years back when the kids were young. Heartbreaking at the time but as they say time cures all. Managed to keep a good strong relationship with the girls to this day
After a few years I remarried and feel very lucky to have someone who loves me back in my life
    Best of luck to you.

  15. Change of life style coming my way. Following a blood test yesterday to monitor my kidney function after a change in blood pressure medication, the results show my kidneys are fine but my HbA1c is 42 mmol/mol, which makes me pre diabetic and despite all this sunshine, I’m vitamin D deficient as well. Just to cheer me up even further, I have no mains water supply, for the third time in 6 months and the builders next door are blasting out remixed 90’s European synth pop :scream: Andy
