That was temporary, as pointed out when I first posted this picture, it has now been resolved as of Christmas Day last year
Yesterday: Went to the RHS Badminton Flower Show. My youngest daughter inherited nothing from me, but my late wife's family must of had the genes! She won and sent me this text: Now, we go back to it being all about ME! I did get my solicitor/trustee to very reluctantly release £15,000 from my trust fund as she had to raise £50.000 to be there. I think that it was worth it! See more here (before thy knew she had won): https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episo...orld-2026-episode-17?seriesId=unsliced&page=1 About 31 mins in. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was so hot the I didn't walk around much, but on Sophie's garden there was a sunshade and chairs, so I rested. I did wander a bit and there was this place showing spas. I had one years ago in an old property, but they have come on a huge amount. You can bluetooth music to it from your phone and also control it, but it does have controls built in. We are talking about £6k very roughly, and I'm going to get one! I need to organise an outside socket, (that would be useful, anyway) and get the paving relaid (coz it was there when I moved in ten years ago and is now uneven) and also I need to get a flower bed removed to give me more room around it. Around £6k but my justification is that it will be a health benefit. This thing is so messed up. Hundreds of thousands of pounds in a trust and I have to plead for a lousy £6k for a spa! Nobody knows the future. This hundreds of thousands reserved for my luxury care home, my private hopital replacement of a replaced hip, an investment with some investment house that has already earnt me tens of thousands that I am not allowed, but just liable for he income tax! OK, my life was fooked up by being knocked off my Ducati Monster, but we got the compensation of well over (and I mean well over) half a million to allow me to live a good life, but this bastad judge insisted on it going into a trust fund - any trust fund as long as I don't have control of it! The £6 grand is not even 1% of the compensation I got. Sorry to moan all the time, but I do get fooked off!!!! I have talented daughters, an still alive and feel good!!!
That's amazing. You must be immensely proud. I really liked the idea of sitting down into the garden, almost like a bathtub, with the plants at eye level. Is she making a career out of horticulture?
What a talented Sophie one of life's angels Beautiful garden as someone living with cancer I can appreciate the space and the gentleness for reflection Wow P you must be very proud!!!
Well today is the anniversary of my cardiac arrest.......this time a year ago I'd died, been brought back to life and was in intensive care. I'm like a Northumbrian Jesus Got to say that its been preying on my mind as to what happened for the past few days and my brain has been fried every time I've felt a twinge or summat.
I am VERY proud. She was working for some company in Bath who do this thing - she een did some work at Highgrove House for royalty! She left about 18 months ago to strike out on her own. Obviously, this is all going to help, even though it was a big investment of her time and money. Worked out well in the end!
I don't have any experience of anything around this, but imagine as my ex-wife did, that you are going to die within six months. it was a cancer that is inoperable. I think that sometimes not knowing would be best! All you can do is just enjoy life, stay calm, and just take it each day as a bonus!
Been sitting around doing not much recently so decided to pop out on the Hyper into Wiltshire for a few hours. Ended up at Woodhenge (v near Stonehenge) to have a look at not very much! Obligatory bin for @Ducbird Four hours on it and everything is either numb or hurting! Time for a bit more doing not much...
Very proud! If it wasn't finished now, I'd offer to take you there! They have to take down the garden and leave the land as they found it - just a field. If RHS have to do it for you, they take it out of the £50,000 that she had to put down to enter. I guess that the RHS had to give a guarantee to the Duke to leave the site as they found it.
