  1. So I tried out a 2023 V4S last week and it was priced highly and looked not the best and it swayed me from buying it to be honest, I did enjoy the Multi itself (apart from the low revs chugging a bit).

Now ive been offered a very fair deal on a. 2025 ex demo V4S Travel & Radar on my part ex and I'm tempted, price is just below £22k with 1000 miles.

Are the newer gen bikes a big upgrade on the previous generation bikes?

  2. Latest version of the Skyhook is better. If you are experiencing chugging, that’s rider input, choose a lower gear or use higher revs. From 2nd gear, I rarely use less than 4000 revs. Andy

  3. I find the V4S engine very forgiving and flexible, but I’m old.

  4. Personally I love having the radar, adaptive cruise, heated grips etc. I don’t think there’s a huge difference in the V4S models from year to year apart from the spec of added parts. I’ve had four multis and this is the best (apart from the weight and the DVT was a better looking bike)

  5. A demo bike with 1000 miles is probably been tested by quite a few riders. When i tested my first V4 with a quick shifter , I was extremely rough with the quick shifter, never having used one before. Tried changing up and down from 1st to 2nd. My after thought was that I wouldn't buy a demo . The demo I rode also had been left outside in the rain and the chain was so rusty that I oiled it as I thought it could snap while I was riding it.

  6. All the original Ducati fitted chains go rusty very quickly...

  7. My last multi did 16000 miles before I changed the chain. There was no rust on it. Always cleaned and oiled after 200 miles.

  8. Andy, I hate to contradict you but the chugging seems to be a feature of the 2025 Euro 5 exhaust restrictions. Especially with an Akrapovic full system. There are 2 extra sensors in the Catalytic Converter on the standard system.

The standard system isn’t bad but down at 20-30mph, 3000 revs with a full system it’s awful. I’ve just bought an upmap from BHP in Burnley in the hope that I can alleviate it. We’ll see. I’ll keep you all posted.
