Come down this morning to go to the gym and I've found my car has been screwed overnight, bastards. I understand nicking the little cash that was on there but what use my driving glasses are to anyone else I do not know. Absolute cnuts. I suppose I ought to be grateful to the big yellow thing on the steering wheel.

 

The theft of your glasses is just to deprive you of them IMO.

 

That looks like most of the green lanes in Hertfordshire these days. The amount of fly tipping in the past few years has been appalling.

 

I'm struggling to wonder why they did it; none of the property stolen was on display, so it seems a bit risky to break in just for a fishing exercise, but there's a chuffing great yellow Milenco Sold Secure steering wheel lock clearly on display so even having got past the locks & presumably the ignition, they were never driving it anywhere. WTF was the attraction?

Thanks. Can't find any, although I did try the manual key & it wouldn't seem to work; that may be me as I've never tried it before, but I'm beginning to wonder if they've jiggled the lock off. Still waiting for the dealer to ring me back as I'm trying to find out if it is possible to download a history of the lock/unlock function to see if it was relayed.

Thanks Chris. I would hope not, as the regularly used key is in a Faraday box that I walked out of the house this morning & is doing its job, and the spare is in a Faraday pouch buried in the kitchen cupboard, so I would have thought that was blocked; however if anyone knows better & can advise me as to something more secure I'd be grateful. I'm currently looking at a Bear Lock to further secure the vehicle itself.

The financial implications I can cover without claiming so I'm fortunate in that respect; I'm just seething that some piece of has come onto my private driveway, got into my retirement present & helped themselves to my property. Mrs GG is now feeling a little uneasy about home security, but with high security locks & an alarm in place, what more can you do?
