Needed to start for my rebuild. Also need wheel spindle and complete front wheel with or without discs.
Ducati 1199 Panigale RME Adjustable Offset Triple Calmps Yokes Kit Blk or Silver | eBay Ducati 1199 Panigale Front Wheel Rim | eBay pricey though!
As its a streetfighter wouldnt a front wheel of a 1*98 do? Just a few spacers to make for axle and discs.
Thanks mate, already seen them, very expensive indeed and way beyond my funds, In hoping to comeout around £8500 done and everyday brings up more broken parts. Theres a guy selling larger kit type rad and cooler setup for £750 delivered on the bay. My top rad is light centre damaged/crush, but cooler is to bad I think? and not sure if will affect oil pressure, so will replace once frontend sorted, because its not worth the risk to the engine. Found today that the abs alloy tubing is crushed, so that will be removed for now as less important to getting bike rideable again. Most important first parts are the yokes and a ride height adjuster, then I will be in a position to confirm if wheelbase is right or not. If its right, I will carry on, if not I cant afford a new frame, so will have no choice but to part her out. Theres those 1098 gold wheels on here I would love, but can't risk buying only to have to sell again if frame is bent. Would also love that kit type rad and cooler setup so could get rid of the lower coolers fan setup, but for now, funds won't allow. But, Again, thanks for the heads up on those ebay parts mate, just way to expensive
Don't know mate, I would imagine it runs a thinner front wheel hub and discs, but wheel and disc spacers should fix that?? Will be worth the hassle if one comes up for right money with discs.
OZ make a spacer kit for the 1098 wheels to fit the Panigale. Just for your info the 2 front rads are in fact water coolers and the oil cooler is s streetfighter type unit fitted to the RH side of the engine. Best of luck with the conversion......can`t wait to se its progress
Thanks mate, Don't know why I thought lower was oil cooler????? Side note, That ebay guy selling the kit type rad setup, well just spotted via google that FEBUR Kit Rad setup looks exactly the same as his setup, so either he is copying theres or its a fake listing(Just friended him on facebook, so lets see how it goes) Tried finding out what FEBUR Charge without much luck. They also state a 15c drop in temp and no need for the lower fan setup. OH, Fingers crossed A buyer in romania is gonna pay me for £3k worth of ex 05-08 gsxr1000 BSB Part, if he does I will put £1500 in bank to cover next few months bills/debts and use the other £1500 towards fixing bike (If frame not bent)
Have you priced up the new parts? Lower yoke/steerer is about £330. The wheel will be a bit scary though... If you have a list and need prices, let me know
I haven't to be honest mate, as my available funds won't allow. I usually go mental on bikes and bits, but after losing £9k last year when other carbon gixer was stolen Ive been fighting against what I want and what my debts will allow. The £3k thats coming would of normally gone to this project, but for now I have no choice but to leave half in bank and just use the other half towards getting the panny rebuilt. I've got slingshot on the hunt for widetrack panny race yokes, think MV AGO yokes may fit aswell as they used same model forks I THINK??? That race febur copy rad setup I really want, but can't do it even at £750 for the whole setup. To check frame and wheelbase I need, Yokes, F/Wheel and Disc/s and Spindle and 1 Spacers, Rear Ride height adjuster(got eye on ebay one). If Frame and wheelbase is ok, Then need, Lower Rad+ fan setup and housing. 1 Clipon, Both Switchgears, 1 or Both mastercylinders and levers, Both rearset pegs, gear lever and brake pedal, OR New race rearsets. Rear light setup, Rear Subframe Cast bolt on part that light fits to. Tank 2 big dents repair and paint or cover dents with kevlar race covers for either side of tank(ebay) Seat panel repair and paint or buy race seat panel setup and cut out holes for rear lights. 1 forks cap. System is scuffed and little dent at front, but totally usable if not presentable and will do for now unless a cheap setup comes up. Crash covers for both clutch and stator covers. Top rad slightly dented, but again totally usable for now. Ian.
well, the lower yoke with steering tube is £330. The top yoke is £250 ish. wheel is scary........£900 Discs are £270 a piece, spindle is £95 ish. spacers are about £15 a side The linkage rod is about £155 The discs are the same as 1098/1198 so that might widen your search. I'd defo check the forks to. They are all alloy and bend easily. Looked at a salvage bike a few weeks ago and they were both mullered and looking at that wheel, there's been a lot of energy punched into that area.
Ref wheels, I'm thinking buying a pair of 1098-1198 ones gonna be the way forward, then just need spacing kit for front, assume rear will go straight onto panny swingarm?? Yokes, I'm looking into race set ones, discs assume 1098-1198 are the same?? spindle again assume/hope 1098-1198 the same?? Linkage rod would be either used on if I win it or for price of new would prefer a nicer looking sato one If I don't get a used set of yokes in next few weeks will have to go for new Thanks for the prices buddy. Out of interest for future costs I might incure, whats the cost of a new subframe cast rear mount part, the one that bolts onto the rear end of the main subframe please? I'm hoping the lower yoke cracking down the centre took away most of the crash hit/shock from the frame??
Rear wheel will go straight in. Front with spacers could work. Tbh, wouldn't be my favoured route, but would free more options up. Front axle is defo different. The Pani forks are wider spaced hence need longer axle. That's one thing I wouldn't compromise on. discs are same as 1098/1198 so no problem there. Don't forget they are handed Lower yoke/steering tube is available, top yoke is showing as back order. I'll take a look at rear subframe tomorrow for you. Like I mentioned....get the forks out and check them. They do bend easily. Ref the rads....the lower one isn't that pricey. If the upper is in one piece, you may not need spend a lot. Cooling is critical on the Pani. It makes a lot of heat and quickly when stood still.
Hey Nelly, Thankyou foWiganr help bud and especially with prices.(Assume they inc vat?) I'm gonna hold off on yokes for another week or two in the hope a used pair come up for sale. Need bits cheap as possible. If you could let me know the cost of a lower rad that would be great, also the lower rads fan setup Thanks for reminding me about the panny widertrack, minds all over the place with panny parts search. Last few days had uk+us+italy+german ebay panny searchs open and refreshing then every 30-60 minutes. Front rocker cover and 1 bolt now added to the list. My top rad has about 2" sqaure slight flat spot so will do for now. The forks look straight when fitted into a bottom yoke from my race yokes, but wont know for sure until there fitted into top and bottom yokes and spindle fitted. Wish knew someone near wigan with a panny who could borrow me there front end to check my frame(One can dream lol)
Yes mate. All include the VAT.... Lower rad is £320, the upper is £405. The fan unit comes in two parts... the main unit with the fan is £53.38 and the rear plastic section is £16.55 the rocker cover is £96 and the screws are about a fiver a piece. Rear subframe is scary to......£950!!
Thanks again (I THINK(lol) for the prices buddy Rear subframe not gonna happen at that price, the main part is fine, its just the rear small cast bit the bolts onto the main subframe thats damaged. I may eventually consider a race subframe and then later sell the main subframe to cover some of the cost. Only hassle would be making the seat panels and rear light fit a race subframe, but don't expect will be to hard to make brackets (famous last words) Now to find someone in trade to get me some of the bits for trade prices Gonna try Andy at DMC of preston again today as got no answer yesterday. Thanks again buddy
