Yes Fig, how could I forget  The strip is clear Keith, but they had a strict 1 litre of fuel limit so the tank was empty I'll be back tomorrow afternoon if anyone's else is there.
I was taken by the sheer level of ingenuity and skill on parade, not one bike displayed the 'bolt-on' characteristics of so many modified bikes. And the few owners I spoke to were genuinely enthusiastic to talk about theirs and other peoples' bikes. The French owner of this bike showed a good deal of patience when answering my inane questions about Guzzi brakes...
It was lovely! I got a fair few ideas from other stuff there that I'm already thinking of another cafe racer project!
That an Imola tank? Looks very Ducati. Already decided I'm starting to do auto jumbles to look out for a coffin type tank or something low and long
Wish I could afford one:frown: My guzzi will be keeping it's standard tank for the time being; I'll see how I get on making a seat, if it goes well I may attempt to make a fibreglass tank for it.
Have you still got the Cagiva Elefant Nick? I reckon that would make a great post-apocalyptic urban moto...
Yes and NO! Although Chris(Desmohog, winner of forum BOTY 2012) has just got an Elefant chassis and has plans. I went to the show with him today
That XJR was particularly well made, but they just don't float my boat. I just wish I had the patience to clean my bikes well enough to put under a spotlight...
If i remember right that bike was built in Belgium, ridden over for the show, then ridden straight back, good to see its normal daily transport.
Not all the bikes were well polished! Mine for example, was rubbed over with a rag after bringing it to the show on a trailer in the rain
My fav was the Huscati ... Also was fab to hear Sideburn will be having another event . I'm a massive Sideburn fan!
I went to the previous one but unfortunately missed this one I hope Dutch will organize another one next spring.
