  1. Hi all, new to the forum!
Been a long time! (Sold my 999r just over 2 years back after 6 great years, had a 998r and 996r before that:biggrin:)
Regretted selling it before the bike had even left my house
Have been terrorising the locals on a crf450 supermoto ever since!

Anyway, I just went and bought a bog stock 2010 1198 (2100m) off eBay this morning!

Need to get up to speed with everything 1198 related!
Where are the good places these days for Ducati parts! Termi's/DP performance and general carbon bits etc?!

  2. are you the chillo from the DSC days?:upyeah:

  3. Sure am!
whats the story over there? Jumped on but seems very quiet!

  4. We've been waiting for you to return to the fold to crank up the noise!!

Welcome back - still remember your antics on the 999R at the dsc track day at Cadwell!

  5. it all went a bit...........then there was Ducatisti................that all went a bit...............now theres here.......

  6. welcome. when do you pick the bike up.

my best advice is spend lots of time learning what your suspension does and then set it up. sorry if im teaching you to suck eggs lol.but suspension and tyres before bling and noise.

  7. Alright Dave

  8. aah ah yes dsc track days at Cadwell!! ha
Some of the (very quick) guys I used to ride with gave it up and it all got a bit too 'sedate' for my liking
that and the state of the roads, then I was wanted by local cops for not taking it steady too meant I was going out at odd times on my own to go rip it up!
Been riding enduro and doing supermoto last few years.
ah... I guessed something had gone on!

thanks, yes I will be dialling it and getting it set up to my liking, I like a good front end and the back nice and loose

  9. Bone stock!!! After spending a load of dough on new 996r, 998r and then a 999r back in the day (then losing my shirt on upgrading to a newer model each time) decided a stocker will do. Although not rode a Panigale yet, I don't really rate them! (Need to try one!)
will sort some slash cut Termi's when I find some!
(it's a 10 plate with 2100m and I got it for £6950) just need to sort getting it collected and delivered to me.

  14. Nice bike and excellent value for your cash :upyeah:

  15. Chillo.....now there's a blast from the past. Good to see you back on a duke

  16. Cheers guys!
Looking forward to ripping it up with a bit of mono action and showing these pesky il4 bikes a thing or 2 again!! :)

Need to sort some Termi's, can I use an ecu from a 1198s Termi kit ok? Will it need re flashing? I was assuming not as exactly same motor etc.

  17. same engine on 1198,s and 1198.speak to chrisw on this forum for advice re ecu,s.

fit lovely white number board front and rear and then stay away from the stickers.

  18. The s ecu give different traction modes but the stock 1198 doesn't have traction, so doesn't matter? Wonder if it will still through a cel?

what are the options for full termi 70mm system? Best place (price) to get it from?
what about just the headers/mid pipe to go on a set of Termi slip ons?

whats the crack with this servo thingy?

    Any other mods worth doing?

  19. You can retro fit DTC on a 2010 1198. If you decide you want it.
