A rash statement maybe. Ned Hardy » 9 Deadly Words Used By Women If true, number (4) explains quite a lot for me. On a lighter note, one for the acrophobes on here. I say, "like", but the images of heights were hard for me. I got a bit short of breath looking at those plus a couple of times I yelled "******* really? Really?". Not a fan of heights, me
I cannot bear heights. I went to the top of Germany's highest mountain. There is an observatory at the top but the actual peak is a short way from it across a ridge. Once I crossed this and got up the iced ladder I could only crawl around and couldn't stand until I grasped the peaks brass cross. Took me years to get over.
luckyskua, I would be likely to do the same as you, in your shoes. I did climb up the Rock of Gibraltar one time, up past the public parts with the walkways and such, to where it all got a bit funky. I'm not saying it was an epic climb, just that I was terrified but I could not stop. Bit like my biking, really.
I read the translations of women's phrases to hubby, partly because it is funny and partly because he NEEDS TO KNOW. He he he!
When I broached that subject a while ago it was "go ahead, nothing, that`s ok, fine, whatever." Least I know what she "really" meant now. I thought she meant "keep showing me bike pictures and you will wear down my resistance." Still, I like a challenge, and living dangerously makes you feel alive .
Did you notice how all the people in the photos are thin? This either means that fat people are more afraid of heights, or that they are inherently unstable.
Au contraire my friend, neither, when there might be cake . Disclaimer: This isn`t me. I didn`t take the picture. I don`t encourage fat people to climb stuff for cake.
Probably true , I am not thin.. I hate heights. As a child age 12 I was carried down from St Pauls Cathedral as I froze when I got to the out side bit at the top , I have a phobia of iron stairs in particular with the holes in... luckly I was thin then! The a few years back I decided to go up Swaffam Wind turbine... half way up I froze I could not climb up or down they had to get someone to talk me down!! Did do a charity abseil mind!
