I bought my MTS and had the 600 mile service in Sept 2012, I have been waiting for the service indicator to illuminate. Reading another similar thread has made me think about the fact that the 600 mile service was 15 months ago and it is probably ready for the 12 month service. Am I correct in thinking there is a service indicator? I am pretty sure I got a 600m service indication. Has this happened to anyone else? Had a termi fitted in Feb 2013, I did not expect that to reset service indicator. Maybe I missed the service indicator recall
It will only activate on Mileage not on time. You should have received an email from Ducati reminding you about it though
As ApetoDuc says, it's the mileage that triggers the service indicator, if the Multi is anything like the 696. As well as having to remember to book the service (if the year comes up before the mileage triggers the service indicator), the other irritant is the fact that even if you have the service on time (based on the time, not mileage) the service indicator will come on at the appropriate mileage and as far as I'm aware you need to go to the dealer to get the indicator reset so the little spanner disappears.
Thanks, I was hoping there was a fault with the indicator to excuse my not having the service on schedule but it seems it is just my mistake. Hope it gets overlooked in the event of a warranty issue. I hope your wrong about the spanner though because that would be just bad design.
I have done 6,300 miles. I was planning to try a few garages to get it done asap but if I have to go back in a few months I best stick to the local guys. I do get emails from Ducati such as coolant recall and numerous releases of branded clothing, but not for this.
Where are you located? I'm only on 3100 miles, kinda sucks that I have only done 2500 since the first service
