MCN want YOU!

  1. Is this for a 'class action' re warranty work?

  2. I contributed to an MCN feature on 916 ownership some years ago.
Whoever produced the printed article knew little or nothing about motorcycles.
I wouldn't waste my time with them.

  3. what they paying?.

  4. I have never understood why anyone would want to help a journo do his/her job for free, or even worse, some people actually let them ride/thrash their own bike, just for the off-chance of a mention or a picture in the Rag.

  5. Indeed. Tenuously links me to why do people wear manufacturer apparel/clothing and pay a premium for the privilege? The (in most cases) exact same unbranded item made by the same company is available for the third of the cost, or more. This isn't a phenomena exclusive to the motor industry granted, but why? I've never been compelled to sport my chosen food vendors decals whilst shopping any more then when I throw my leg over my Ducati. OK they don't evoke the same emotions but shouldn't we be the the ones being rewarded for choosing them ?

  6. Last Monday I took part in a 'focus group', which meant spending two hours chatting about various bikes and bikers, and the market segments for bikes past present and future. Down the pub I often do much the same thing for free, but on this occasion I was paid £90 cash. Seemed a good deal, really.

  7. hope you declared it.

  8. I did that a few years ago for Triumph. The Daytona 675 was launched two years later. I got £50 for the priviledge
