CJS remapping

  1. I'm fascinated by all this remapping malarkey - so could anyone tell me if there is anything to be gained by having it done to a 2013 Multi?

  2. I reckon not unless you have different cans etc. or not that gains enough benefit, as like mine yours probably is fairly smooth where pre twin spark seem to be rough at the bottom

  3. hi, can twin sparks be put in older bikes and would it improve running?

  4. Not worth it financially. It'll cost a bit, and the older bike ain't bad enough to warrant it. Riding faster makes it smoother...

  5. I'm looking forward to letting Chris loose on mine once I secure some termi's for it in the spring next year.

But! Having said that, it's bloody smooth as it is at the moment, averaging 33-35mpg depending on riding, that's based on 10 mile trips to and from work all week through traffic.

So god knows how good it is on the motorway.

  6. Anyone had a 848evo done? Thinking of getting some Akrapovics next year so may need it done

  7. Phill----yes. With akro slip on and he did the timing too. I posted the dyno chart up before. He flashed to DP chip first, made 131, then full custom map, 139 end.

Lovely AF and smooth everywhere. Disabled the other emissions rubbish and if you like he can prog in your own special welcome ;-)

  8. 8 HP from Akro slip ons and a tidy up? Jeez. TBH the reason I ask is because I am slightly regretting not going for it and getting the Termignoni's from New, although they are stupidly over priced they are easy from a warranty P.O.V. I am now thinking about just slip-ons and a remap but will have to see how much my shares go for in Feb!

TBH Originally I was concerned that when getting the bike out early mornings it would be too noisy, so didn't get them. Plus... £1700 for the Termigs! can get Akro's for £700 and then get the bike re-mapped.

  9. Akros look better imo and are better quality. Much of the improvement was in the timing i think, and also had performance filter. If I can find the chart I'll chuck it up

  10. Cool thanks, didn't want to hijack it's just that I don't understand why you 'need' a separate ECU according to Ducati, with the Triumph they just flashed the latest map on there for the Arrow.

I agree also, the Termignoni's are good, but they have never been in the same league build wise as Akrapovic's and Arrow's. I will bide my time, don't want to end up with some dodgy fuelling and stalling issues by not having it set up correctly.

  11. That's amaxing... all the way up the power curve as well, that really is impressive.
