I cannot find a decent one anywhere, most of the good ones on eBay are part of an ignition lock set and the sellers won't split. Has anyone got a standard filler cap in very good condition? cheers Haydn
Very hard to find a decent one now. What's wrong with your old one? is the gold paint going on it or something like that. You can strip them down but it's a fiddly job and you need to be very careful about the mechanism that holds the top key latch open as it has two tiny balls and a spring. I did that to one of mine and it's pretty good now.
Hi red, I stripped mine down recently to respray but I couldn't get the hinge pin out to deprecate the igloo dinner section from the outer housing. Cranker - thanks.
Is anyone else's curiosity piqued by an "igloo dinner section" ? I'm expecting slices of deep fried seal. Salivating now. :wink:
Ha that's brilliant, didn't even notice it. My iPhone is great, comes out with some right gems at times. regarding the fuel cap, has anyone stripped and refurbed?
