I'm considering a 4th year warranty with them, they've offered their top cover using main dealer to repair and claim value up to the value of the bike for £395. The question is, is it worth taking out the cover? The bike only does 4k P/A???
I am inclined to agree. They started off at £600-odd online but I was told to wait for the phone call. Sure enough it went to £445 then to £395. I'm going to have a look at the quote when they e-mail it and then make my mind up.
I have a warranty with them, paid £340 quid just for the peace of mind, my 10 plate MTS has only done 9000 miles but you never know! Given its warranty history it felt like the right thing to do, still love it to bits though!
The cover looks very good, I would go for it my self when the time comes. I suppose its a bit like insurance you never now how good they are till you claim, but you hope you don't need too.
+1 Me too. I'm with them now (£360) and will probably take out again as I can't justify selling my 2010. It's now had new cylinder heads, new engine cases, care of Ducati and new battery, chain/sprockets by me. As always happens, when you take out a warranty you don't need it but if I didn't renew it we all know what would happen!
I have told WD via e-mail that you guys have paid less than they offered me the policy for. I'll see what they come back with tomorrow and probably go for it.
All I will say is that I had a terrible fight with them when something went wrong on a car I had (gearbox oil seal on a 2 year old car)
Warranty direct ave a terrible reputation for wriggling out of claims. 350 is not a lot of money to risk, so probably worth it IMO, but would check the fine print about extras and accessories, that might prevent a payout.
My W.D. insurance is up this April. 11 plate and 22,000 miles. So far all broken parts work (rad, dash etc) has been done by dealer so wondering if I should renew. Sale of Goods Act covers the first 6 years but the onus is on you to prove the fault/claim was due to faulty part, after the vehicles warranty period has expired!
