Enduro seat / taller seat options - shorties need not apply :)

  1. Just wondering what people have done in regards to raising the riding position if any?

i find the current seating position slightly too low for how my legs bend, I'm 6ft 3 and circa 34/35" leg but because the pegs are more forward it just feels odd, I want to be up and back a smidge more like a supermoto

from some web searching I've read a few reports on the enduro seat being 3/4" taller but it's about £170 I believe.

would I be better off buying some seat covers and having my seat raised a tad by way of a gel insert or something?

  2. See if you can borrow an airhawk cushion this will raise the seat height and you can experiment by increasing/decreasing the pressure to raise or lower your position.

  3. I'm getting gel inserts fitted into my seat by these chaps Bootleg Bike Seats - Home
Problems with my coccyx, he said he will probably be able to use the original cover but it may raise my seat up a bit. He's quoted around £30 for HD foam and £55 for gel inserts.

  4. That's a good call but I wouldn't know where to start (apart from here)

havent a clue who's got an air hawk, to be honest I think I might just get a recover and see what can be done, just figure an extra 1" in leg room would be about right

  5. The best thing to do is get vario foot pegs of eBay they work really well it will give you 50mm more leg room, massively helped on my speed triple

  6. I have just had a new seat with 12 mm extra foam in it and a new seat cover to match the old seat it feels more comfy now

Got it done at Sheffield upholstery trimmers £75
    pikes peak copy cover
Looks good too can't tell it's not the standard seat
