FWR Kennington :)

  1. Collected a nasty looking nail in the rear tyre of the Multi, made it to FWR as they were opening, explained to Bob, he took a quick look and had Dean out to attempt an extraction, he believed the nail had only entered the meat of the rubber due to its angle, and Dean carefully removed it, I'm sure other places would have found a way of making some money out of me but the honesty was very refreshing, not the first time I've used them and just reinforces the goodwill they receive.

    Cheers guys.

  4. Always use FWR. My dealer of choice. :upyeah:

  5. +1 for FWR they do some good deals on tyres, best around as far as I am concerned.

  6. Bob Collins #99 is a cracking rider. Shame about Dave :-(

  7. Took my old FZ750 for it's mot years ago; as I watched the mechanic checking it over I spotted a nail in the back tyre, about 2 seconds before the mechanic spotted it. He got a pair of pliers and pulled it out, had a good look at it then wandered off. A minute later he came back with a screw, drove it into the tyre and reinflated it. "There, that should get you home, make sure you get it repaired or replaced before you ride the bike again", and with that he passed the bike and gave me the certificate! I've been back to that garage for every mot since.

  8. Is there anyone around London that does not use FWR? :) There that should be easier

  9. Me. Never heard of them.

  10. Used to be a bunch of crooks. A couple of my mates tried them and ended up with badly damaged rims and in one case a dropped bike. None of them ever got a compensation either. The original owner was an effing nightmare on the track too. I think he was actually banned from several tracks due to his lack of consideration for other riders. I also believe he was killed whilst on a bike; not so good.

Sounds like they may have changed since then.

  11. David Black died on the 18th January 2010 on an early morning ride in Spain.

  12. I remember his Desmo getting slightly damaged by a young lad riding it. 'bout £15k's worth.
