  1. Just wondering if anyone has a european sat nav for the bike including the blue tooth ear thing before I go slash out on a new one. Going on my first europe trip and dont think I can go without

  2. If you've got an iPhone download co pilot £20 or to Tom Tom both apps are awesome , get a case and inline charger from ultimate add ons .... Job done as for Bluetooth if you wanna splash out ? Scala do a solo rider set

  3. I don't know if you can download the maps direct to your phone before going but if not watch out for Data roaming charges if you go with this option it can be expensive.

I use a Garmin Zumo 220, with a bluetooth headset that I got of the net at £70 for two so works as an intercom as well. Its not the best headset/intercom and sometimes the bluetooth drops and needs resetting but you get what you pay for. The garmin itself works great. You can do your routes on the computer then download them to the garmin.

  4. No data is used the maps are stored just as in any other sat nav......:upyeah:

  5. looks like the trusted iphone then. Cheers :upyeah:

  6. Troy,
I took a satnav with me, but mainly left it in the bag and found my own way. If I got lost, or needed the nearest petrol station or a booked hotel etc, I booted up the sat nav and used it for a while. Actually I quite like getting slightly lost - provided you're not going in totally the opposite direction, it's a way of getting to see interesting small villages etc which you would normally miss. If you go the pretty way and take a meandering route, the sat nav is not much of a help really.

  7. Pete I like your way of thinking. Half the fun is getting a little lost ;-) Its just with it being my first trip I have a tendancy to over think things. I think its my bloody age lol.
