I do treat myself to that secret pleasure, about once a fortnight heading back to 'the smoke' to visit ma. The inside lane is lovely and quiet, fresh tarmac, hardly disturbed,and you can set cruise control without fear cos you'll never come across any other vehicles in lane one - just some vegetables growing, and a couple of Zen gravel gardens....
I might. On the other hand, the spindle twists between open and closed fairly easily by fingers, so probably not all that stiff. I installed the system myself, many years ago, so I could easily replace any of the parts if it came to it, except the boiler - you can't get non-condensing boilers any more ...
Today I was mostly doing stuff in the office but at 5pm I went out on the 899 and did 50 or so miles The bike is a beaut. It really is a couple of steps up from the 848 EC SE. And although I'm still running her in I can ride her quite quickly within the 6k rev limit. It feels so light and handles like a dream. Really confidence inspiring! And the sound is awesome. The standard pipes are louder than Termis I think. Plus people come over and look at it when I'm parked up and make goo-goo noises, which I love Can't wait till it's properly run in and had its first service at the end of the month
Today I managed to get a run out on the SF.Revelled in the popping and farting on the overun,and on the bike as well.Had a slightly enthusiastic ride up the A281 home and was 17 all over again
Decided that after 10 years of nothing but problems from my Meta alarm I'd rip the fucker out, gonna enjoy teaching it a lesson with the blowtorch
