  2. Worked like a dog again, cos someone didn't survey the job properly. Matters made a lot worse by all the black cabs having a demo on Trafalgar Square, and bringing the city to a halt:mad:

    Still, job interview Friday...

  3. mostly having the patience of a saint.

  4. went to work, came home after 7.5hrs of tedium.

  5. swap you.

  6. Well we've had another lazy day cos we didn't sleep well last night because of the heat and humidity. We were supposed to be going to Monza town for a look around but we sacked it off and spent the day mooching locally.

Now off out for summat to eat and then early to bed as we have an early'ish flight in the morning.

Tomorrow afternoon I'm planning a couple of hours with pandora :)

  7. Packed for Le Mans, off at 5.00 am tomorrow!

  11. Went to work on the bike
Was asked to clean out neon sign.
Was asked to redo the shop window.
53 years old, MBA, Cambridge degree - I have become a concierge. But I don't let it worry me unduly. I have other plans (which are very afoot).
Went to the pool at lunchtime - 1300m. Made the whole day worthwhile.
Got trussed up in leather in 32°c heat to come home.
A shandy, a Ricard, some wine, a Johnnie Walker Black Label. Watched 2 foxes eat cherries, watched a rare fieldfare which must have a nest nearby.
    Spaghetti aux fines herbes.

I really can't see anything to complain about.

  12. Couldn't sleep last night as my legs were keeping me awake. 10 mile runs of a morning are reminding me that I'm getting older

  13. 10 mile runs? Are you mad? ;)

  14. Don't run then ;)

  15. Doesn't work like that :)

  16. That does not sound too bad at all, food and drink ( both literally and figuratively) for the soul, bookended by reality and a dream/ambition for the future.

    :upyeah:

  17. Things did not go quite to plan. After a tortuous journey from Zummerset to London - 3 separate accidents clogging the Mways- catapulted me straight into 'rush' ( should that be 'slow'?) hour on the M25. A third coffee stop was necessitated by this time- the length of the journey...... - and extra torture by the stop being in Starbucks, Purley ( I really dont like Starbucks coffee, but needs must).

Picked up voicemail on phone, after 5 hours journey, just to get confirmation that after looking at the weather, the next days flying had been cancelled..... thanks.

the next days weather? Rain and thunder at 0930, and bright and sunny for the rest of the day, and next day. Oh well, staying at my mothers, at least she got her grass cut, some gardening and painting- she was happy to see youngest son, and only granddaughter....

The Tiger Moth ? well it was built in 1933, and is the second oldest one flying, so i guess the old girl is allowed to only fly when she is sure of the weather. And as she is wood, linen and dope - i guess i am inclined to agree.

Rebooked for july 5th - hopefully the mway madness is on holiday that day. The weather, it will be fine i am sure- its Wimbledon finals weekend- it can't rain during Wimbledon fortnight - can it?

  18. I went all the way to Imola once for a Ducti Riding Experience. It rained all day and the event was postponed to another date.
That was a bit disappointing at the time. Imola isn't that close to home and we had driven there.
