So what have you done today..?

  1. Bought a scruffy Guzzi 850 T3

Anyone got a set of spoked wheels knocking about? If so, please PM me!

  2. Saturday I had six cherries on my tree, today getting back from a day trip to Coventry I checked on them-I only have three remaining. The blackbirds have a lot to answer for, but perhaps they need them more than me. If we can agree on a 50/50 split-things will remain harmonious.

They are Maraschino cherries, the five I had last year were exceptionally nice.

I will not be in Glids league, for some time yet.....

  3. We are from Yorkshire. We are like the Jocks but without their sense of generosity :)

  4. Ran down the lane after 2 horses broke out of their paddock. They made the main road.

  5. At charlotte airport - hol over - Yorkshire & work later this week

  6. can't believe it! up since 5 this morning. travelled from halifax to birkenhead to work on one of stena's ferries. got job done after 9 hrs on site. travelled back home, showered & straight into the gym. half way through and got a call to go to reception.
some thieving scrotum had broken into my work's van, in broad daylight!
there's probably about £25,000 worth of tackle in my van and they didn't take anything! but back door lock has been pulled.
thing is, i'm moving between houses so need the van. i have to be out or my current address by wednesday. also have the van booked in at the airport parking as i'm flying to spain on thursday!!!

    hope they catch the twat!

  7. Have they still got the rocking chairs there to sit in, in the lounge?

  8. Ridden too slowly round one if the worst tracks going, then found my rear wheel had moved so out of alignment. Here's at another crack tomorrow.

  9. They sure do & folks sit there & rock......

  10. I've got one real cherry tree, but it's a monster. Most of the cherries I can't possibly reach so those are for the birds. The ones in the lower third have a fair chance of being picked. I do also have a maraschino cherry tree too (think that's what a griottier is) but they aren't ripe yet. 3 years ago I managed to do a barrel of each and ended up with quite a lot of two different sorts of kirsch.
Last couple of years there has been bugger all. About a bowlful of cherries 2 years ago, and last year about 5. Cherries that is, not bowlfuls.
There are also a few wild cherry trees - small cherries but very nice.

  11. Only in America :D

  12. I'm staying at the Mohegan Sun Casino Hotel in Pennsylvania. I've just been to get something to eat.

The place is FULL of very, very fat, white trash feeding the slot machines.

The American Indians are coining it in.

  13. America is a very strange place.

Isn't Pennsylvania a state? Do you mean Philadelphia, or am I just betraying my ignorance of US geography (likely)?

  14. Pennsylvania is a state. But the town I'm in is called Wilkes-barre which is two hours from Philadelphia. And I'm sure you've never heard of it.

Although I'm gonna be based here I'm also travelling this week to Uncasville in Connecticut and flemington in New Jersey. Then back to Hartford in Connecticut before I fly back to the UK on Sunday,

  15. Named of course after two British MPs - John Wilkes and Isaac Barre- standard learning in every school, I would have thought. And the home of Planters Peanuts.....

  16. Had a nice little trip down to Worthing today, courtesy of Mrs Mervyn driving:eek:Had some drinks, went on the pier, and looked round a nice walled garden.Highlight of the trip was visiting Alfs Motorcycles on the way down.one of Alfs own bikes was up for sale-a very nice 888.I did a bit of oohing and aahing,a bit of dribbling, and got quite excited.
Next week I am being taken to look at Guzzis and the new Enfield Cafe Racer:upyeah:Or is it John Lewis to look at furniture?
Both shops are very near each other, coincidence or what?:)

  17. Very impressive!

The nearest i have had to a good harvest so far this season, is an excellent crop of radishes. Unfortunately, they don't make a good liqueur...... radish kirsch? That would be an interesting experiment , the next day....

    Strawberries are being picked though!:upyeah:

  18. Seen one in Betws today wasnt you was it!

  19. Sadly not, not me, I'm desk-bound today!

  20. Just back after two days at Rockingham trying to ride this fricken gixer fast. Getting there.
