Came home from work swiftly on the 999, in time to catch the last half hour of Italy - Costa Rica. I might have well done some overtime at work for all the interest there was to see with a completely lamentable Italian side. Now just about to watch Switzerland - France. The good thing about this match is that Switzerland can't be knocked out by the end of it. Either we qualify, or at least the suspense will continue for a few days. Beautiful weather. Surely I can get the bike out this weekend. After all, the garden is in quite good shape.
This morning I had three very nearly ripe Maraschino cherries hanging on the tree which I reckon I'd have been eating sunday... This evenings stroll around the estate revealed two were missing....... I've been watching and reckoned they've been snitched by a saffron-cowled blackbird ( which has migrated here for the summer but is usually a native of URUGUAY.....).
the last 10 days have been toastin but to busy to enjoy it, decided to close tomorrow and disappear for the weekend, brought the 848 home for the anticipated tour, guess what it is threatening to do outside now. got a settlement offer on my ppi claim. don't think i will accept it just yet.
it did mate, cheers. assuming it just for one of the three applications i made its a good offer. yip theirs interest as well.
The horror! What the hell is it doing on this side of the Atlantic? I know everyone wants to come to Britain these days but flying from the other side of the world under your own power seems a bit excessive. A couple of years ago, my young pear tree had a solitary Williams pear which I was looking at lovingly for weeks. Just when i thought it was nearing ripeness, the cows from the neighbour's field escaped, ran around my garden and one of them ate it. I was not happy. This year I have probably got about 70 pears. It's a good year for fruit and my pear tree is getting bigger and more productive.
Not really. If Honduras - Ecuador is a draw, it'll look very good for Switzerland (who will then only need a draw against Honduras). If it isn't, then Switzerland may need to beat Honduras in the final match, but Honduras are pants. Doesn't mean we'll beat them as we have been a bit underwear too, but we'd have a half decent chance.
Cancelled my Assen trip Brother can't go, and I can't really afford it at the mo, so I'm not really too bothered about it. Now, where's that Germany thread...
More cherry picking (barrel almost full) but listening to TMS at the same time makes it a positive joy. iPhone now out of juice.
Discovering a new 85 mile loop starting from home and still able to include two of my favourite roads. Awesome ride today, if not long enough. Arrived home pumped up and now have gravel raking to look forward too.
attempted big run out today but couldn't get into it. glencoe was heaving, stoped at the greenwelly for a fag and came back the oban rd. will try early doors tomorrow.
Watched France stuff the woeful Swiss down pub with loads a French guys. Was supporting French. When in Rome as they say. They appreciated it judging by the number of slams I got bought. Staggered home pissed as a pissed thing can be. Great night. Scratched ugine road and les sheaux. Hi to 848 in annecy. Done my right hamstring though. Sore. Fucking knackered. 1:1 hills with hairpins were a laugh. Brake pedal fell off somewhere. Fuck knows where. Not me in pic
Just lit the first barbecue of the year, so a few beers and supper outside with family, what could be better!
Exercise this morning, cleaning bricks and cutting down dead bushes this afternoon. Watching football now and arguing with football haters on here tonight !
