Big Day Today - Get The Bike Back After My Crash

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by mattmccabebrown, Jul 2, 2014.

  1. I'll be picking up the 1098 this afternoon following my Silverstone crash. Very much looking forward to getting it back, giving a damn good wash and taking stock of the minor cosmetic damage that i'll have to fix over the winter.
More importantly though is to actually ride it again and make sure everything is okay internally :Nailbiting:

  3. Thought you got it weeks ago?

  4. Picked the bike up, but had to leave it with somebody to be assessed etc. Taken bloody ages, but wasn't in a real massive hurry as ive been out playing on my 954 :)

  10. May I be a cheeky 'f' and ask roughly how much it costs to drop one?

  12. I expect the answer will be something along the lines of 'more than you'd want to pay'

  13. The last one, including some respray....the last one...god listen to me...anyway, the last one was around the 1k mark. As I had some pits anyway and the damage was mostly cosmetic, im looking around £600 I think. All in all, could have been a whole lot worse

  15. My repair bill after being 'knocked over' at 2mph was £4k. £1k was boots and helmet. The rest was fairings.

Hoping its a simple repair and spray job, that is a lot of repair for £600

  18. No. really. It was. nose cone, both panels and lowers and tail piece. Thick end of 3k.
