battered, deep fried, coated in Guinness rolled in breadcrumbs, wrapped in pastry and garnished with a slice of cucumber (imported- natch)
We were in Spain about five years ago and sitting out one evening when we heard what sounded like a train approaching? It rippled past us and I swear I could see the ground undulating. Not big, about 3.5 with the epicentre about two miles away but it set car alarms off, it was quite an experience.
Well this weekend i am mostly making my way to the populated SE of our country, in a vain second attempt to get my birthday pressie - an hours flight in a Tiger Moth. Saturday at 1300 @ head corn , there will mostly be flour bombs being dropped on civilisation if i manage to get my flight in ahead of the weather. heres hoping the journey up is better than last time - 3 separate mway accidents, and a phone call at 1800 friday, just as i got to Purley, cancelling the next days flight. Wonder how far i will get this time before the call comes..... Anyway, at least i get to see my ma and do a few jobs for her, and have some nice meals and a gossip, do some admin ( and treat her to a sneaky large box of Hotel Chocolat chocs ) p.s. Is the Black Death still affecting the M25? i only ask because last time i used it every single driver was avoiding lanes one and two like the plague....
Been complimented on my ability to take, push back and debate issues with unreasonable client and still manage to keep my hands from around his throat. 2hrs plus...and had to cancel my days leave tomorrow. So all good
1st day of the kids summer holidays. 1st annual service in glasgow today at 9.30. 1st time its pissed down in nearly a month . nice.
Yesterday, managed to get the Panigale out, first time since service and I saw an orange light as I shot up the road. Guess it's the anti slip. Anyway if was vv exciting
I've not been out on Pandora for ages, because I have been away on business, too busy or too knackered or the weather has been shit. Think 12th June was the last time And I wont be out this weekend cos the Tour De France Grand Depart is on and most of the roads round here are on lock down from tonight for the weekend. Plus we've got 9 people staying with us this weekend too who are coming to see it seeing as it passes close by.
I have been in the office since 7.30am. The new bastard printer has thwarted me for the past two hours! So much for coming in early to get on top of things. It's working now. But I'm not happy!!
i thought Croydon aerodrome was Ryansnares central london base? Perhaps i should reorganise my long haul flight from Kenley International?
Took the car into work rather than the bike. The very good MeteoSuisse app tells me there is going to an almighty rain dump just at going-home time. Had I brought the bike in, all this would have been for me. Now that I'm in the car, I doubt it will happen.
