Been smashing out the miles to get my 899's first service done and the day before it goes in my back goes. Gutted is not the word. It's a disc bulge so I'm hoping only another week or so. That was last week so I rearranged the service but the back still isn't ok. Been on the phone and my local ducati place are snowed under for the next 2 1/2 weeks. I just want to get my back sorted and go out and use the full rev range.
I didn't think Ducati Dealers serviced back's - can't you see the Doctor? Private Health would be cheaper than Ducati!!! :Wideyed:
Ugh, I can relate to that Better off with a Chiropractor tbh, docs will only give you pills and tell you to come back in a few weeks. At least that's what mine did when I first went. I ended up booking into a chiropractor and he sorted me right out! Just make sure they are reputable. Anyhows, hope it sorts itself out soon fella.
I've had a sciatic nerve problem in the back of my right thigh for 3 months, been at hospital for physio but no better - I can get on the bike and off with a wince - but while I'm riding it's fine Still a bummer, disc issue sounds painful too!
What is this witchcraft of which you speak? :Wideyed: ah, just Googled, been perscribed anti inflammatries for a few weeks, different brand though
I have a trapped sciatic nerve to my right leg which will only be improved by an op ( which the NHS don't want to do!) and have had a bulging disc, neither of which are conducive to riding. Hope you get well soon!
I've got 8mm missing off 1 off my vertebra + 1 for Osteopaths & Chiropractors Pills just mask the pain !just getting right now after the TT 9 visits 5 oste 4 chiro Dear stuff riding these bikes lol Although must say the Pani is more comfortable that the 1098.
I'm not a doctor, so take this advice as you wish... Lower back pain can often be solved in a week by constant gentle but effective stretching of the glutes, hamstrings, quads, groin and hip flexors and adductors. This only works on muscular injuries that stem from a weakness in the hip girdle system, evidenced by chronic lower back pain.
Everything from Morphine down ..... I don't like drugs they mess with other bits of yr system Trammadol Wtf !!! On sopadol at the moment 500/30mg codine
The Doc and Physio have concluded there is no back or lower back issue - I have no pain other than local directly behind my right thigh - but had it for about 3 months now, I think from lifting a motorbike onto a stand. Physio said it was unusual for it to be just local and given me exercises to do like: sit down leg out-stretched - point foot down with head forward, lift foot with head back. Not really working so far. But I have been hit and miss with the exercises. Thought cycling might help so did a gentle hour yesterday and aching a little now - was fine during though so may help.
The solution it stretching, stretching, stretching. Cycling will warm you up, make the pain stop or lessen then once you stop your muscles will tighten up and it'll come right back. 15minute stretching session 4 - 5 times per day for a week will have you sorted. It just takes commitment and effort. I'm sure you'll agree 7 days of mucking about is better than 3 months of pain!
