on a morning ride recently a notice a lot of vibration coming through the gear leaver, the chain is at the correct tension, and it seems to be worse in 3rd up, has anyone got any ideas please????
Behind the left hand engine casing. Beware the stator magnets as they will hold the case tight to the rest of the engine. Best advice is to get the puller to remove the case with.
This one - large nut on the far right of the pic: Has a habit of working undone on Ducati's... the alternator will then work loose and destroy the windings/casing...
thanks guys, on inspection is the water pump connected to the casing???? i have the puller tool for removing the casing so just unsure about the pipes going into the cylinder head!!! will it just come off as one complete unit????
Not sure - my carby is aircooled, not clued up on the watercooled voodoo, lol! No need to drain the oil if you rest the bike the other side to the sidestand? R/hand handlebar against a wall with a ziptie round the grip & lever holding the front brake on, or a trolley jack under the r/hand footrest etc?
