Ride Height Adjuster

  1. I want to take off the RHA on my bike but haven't got a abba stand so was thinking of lifting the back of the bike using the rear sub frame and a strip will is be ok?

  2. I have taken the actual adjuster out of a 748 by unscrewing the centre section completely and just removing it leaving the rod eyes bolted to the bike. I had no problem doing that and I just wound the new adjuster back into position.

You haven't stated which bike you are wanting to do this to but I don't see why it shouldn't work with other models.

OK just seen the model at the bottom of the post, I still think it should work if you have good access

  3. Need to take the bottom eye out to replace the bolt

  4. why are you taking the RHA off mate?

  5. When I had it fitted by DM they chewed the bottom bolts and when I was trying to adjusted the other week I rounded off one of their locking nuts so just replacing the scabby parts

  6. Richie suspend away. I have suspended 749 with full pipes and all to remove the adjuster there. All I did remove was seat unit and tank. Tank only cause it was full so quite heavy.

Currently I have m900 hanging off the roof of garage now minus engine but when I started it was only missing tank and wheels.

  7. If it's similar to the 748 series bikes it should be easy enough to lift the bike up and remove the swing arm rod eye bolt. The shock gives a fair bit of assistance and the last time I took the lower parts out I could raise the bike by hand and just manoeuvre the bottom bolt in.

  8. Turn you footpegs/rearsets over and support on axle stands
