It's a 1998 biposto - gold frame, 3-spoke wheels, 40mm calipers, silver fork stanchions, etc, etc. The S on the frame sticker is for "Supersport", nothing else. Ducati don't put model variants on the frame stickers. If you want more info, email [email protected] with your frame number and they'll give you all the info.
I think If my memory serves me correctly the 748 SPS did actually have SPS on the frame sticker, I am pretty certain mine did before I removed them for powder coating. The 748 SP may have been different as well

Terrible. You have my sympathy.....particularly with an ending like that. At least if it's nicked for parts someones putting in some effort.....with that its just mindless vandalism.
It may not have been set on fire intentionally, my 916 burst into flames of its own accord once, bloody reg/recs.
