  3. A warty, which one is a warty? Don't matter.

  4. A warty, jez.

A wafty. It's in the dictionary now.

  5. I can go to the Dr's tomorrow if need be but lets be honest, he's likely to perscribe me either something too heavy to ride miles and miles on OR tell me not to go on the trip until i see the specialist next week, which is obviously too late.

I'll try the Docs and see what he says but ideally a mixture of the crack cocaine idea and a pain killing gel would be my preferred route ;)

  6. You can get injections. Not heroin now

  7. Ibuprofen & Paracetamol.

  8. Agree on this, Mel went into a chemist with an infected bite and came out about 30euros lighter but with a bag full of stuff to help heal it, take awAy the pain, prevent blood poisoning and something else, can't remember but it wasn't a pessary which the french are fond of.

  9. I fractured my meniscus that runs along the inside of your leg and broke the cartilage running under my knee cap it hurts like ........
I had to have an arthroscopy to repair both and a wash out without that the pain never eases
The damage bits float around the knee causing the pain
The best semi relief is ice and heat just to ease it

  10. Diclofenic made me sick and gave me tummy pain
Co codamol can give a dizzy head and make you feel sick
    Tramadol spaces you out
Try ibruphen gel and rub on and paracetamol
    Excuse spellings

  11. Married you for your charm? ;)

  12. ibruwhatstitface and newcastle brown ale
    that should cure it

hold on that might be what caused it ....................

but ice pack is a good idea and keep leg raised up as much as possible
    to keep weight of it

  13. Suffering old rugby injuries - wrecked cartilages and severed cruciates, compounded by the legacy of Harley St operations by a consultant 'surgeon' on day release from Dewhurst, The Master Butchers, my knee can play up very painfully at times, so I can avow that Ibuprofen gel is magic, works almost immediately, exactly where you put it. Apply as often as you need it. I love it.

I use whichever I can buy when I need it, branded or own brand and they all seem to be equally effective.

    Enjoy your trip

  14. Physio..... Just had my knees MRI'd too. They are basically a bit shagged due to being a bit of an active type all my life. Cycling, running etc. I'm nearly 50 now so its fair wear and tear really.
But d'you know what? After excercise now I do loads of stretching. And I mean loads. 20 minutes or more. Its helped range of movement no end and I feel loads better. Its painful at first but keep at it. Good luck...

  15. If the knee really is that bad, may be worth postponing the trip. I know that's not exactly the nicest suggestion, but your knee is more important than a two week holiday.

  16. It's only Thursday until Monday so I wouldn't lose a lot, saying that it's only Thursday until Monday so it's not that much riding either if I can get some decent pain relief.......oh the drama of it all
